We are very delighted to invite everyone for the inauguration of the first ever exhibition of our Hand made H**p Paper, Pulp artwork created while incorporating several other mediums like cyanotype, earth paints, watercolour, collage etc at 4:30pm from 8th March onwards in Kalakendra Art Gallery, Bharat Nivas, Auroville.
Work will be exhibited till the end of March month.

We will also be holding the workshop for the same art form on 24th from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at the same venue.

H**p Fiber Processing

H**p is one of the strongest natural fibers.

This means that processing of this fiber is energy intensive. Energy in terms of Fire/Heat, Labour and Power/Electricity.

When on an assignment back in 2018. We tried different ways of processing the fiber for paper making.

We used a device, that was used by locals to chop the grass for their cattles. However, the h**p fiber is much stronger than the green grass. Hence, the blades were sharpened, changed and other optimisations and calibrations were done.

It looked easy though until I tried. But then what can we expect, we were chopping h**p fibers.

Ancient Egyptians treated asthma by inhaling the vapors from herb placed on heated bricks. Smoking medical plants as a treatment for asthma was common into the 20th century, Jimsonweed ci******es, Cigares de Joy were the popular

The overall effects of smoked cannabis on the lungs are decidedly mixed, with light and moderate use causing little to no damage to the lungs, while heavy use is thought to be associated with increased incidence of bronchitis.

Several studies of cannabis smokers have found damage to mucosal tissue lining the airways and evidence of inflammation. However, meta-analysis of lung function and disease has not detected the evidence of adverse effects of moderate cannabis use on lung function.

The cannabinoids and subclasses found in cannabis plant

There are about 483 distinct and identifiable natural chemical components are known to exist in the cannabis plant. Many of these, such as amino acids, sugars, hydrocarbons and proteins.

THC-V - Tetrahydrocannabivarin is a variant of THC found in some variants of Asian and African cannabis that seems to be much faster in onset and quicker to dissipate than standard THC.

THC occurs in all varities of cannabis, in concentrations that vary from trace amounts to about 95% of all the cannabinoids present.

CBN - Fresh cannabis contains very little CBN. However curing, poor storage or processing can cause the THC content to be oxidized into CBN.

CBD - In 2001, GW Pharmaceuticals found that only combination of CBD and THC offered analgesic effects for Multiple Sclerosis patients. Taken alone, neither CBD nor THC was as effective in treating chronic pain as they were in combination.

A S S I M I L A T I O N

The benefit of quick assimilation is that it is easier to figure out how much to use. Smoking or Vaporizing has a fast onset, so you know quickly whether or not you have a sufficient dose.

Investing tinctures sublingually (that is, droplets placed under the tongue) is an intermediate between smoking and eating.
