Dear all
The Govt of Maharashtra has organised an walkathon on 30th Aug. 2016 at 7 am to 8.30 am from Murli Devra
Chowk Opposite Trident Hotel to GMC Gymkhana( 2 kms)
Honorable Governor and Hon Chief Minister will be the Guests with their families
The event will be attended by both the Hon Ministers Health and other senior ministers and Their Staff
Program :
7am : assemble in front of the stage at Murli Devra Chowk
Welcome of Dignitaries
Speech by Hon. Governor and Chief Minister
Signing of Donor Card by Hon. Governor and Hon Chief minister
Flagging off the Walkathon
GMC Gymkhana: Snacks and signing of donor cards(voluntary)
30.8.2016: awareness lecture by ZTCC Mumbai at Mantralaya at 2.30 pm.
31.8.2016: Awareness lecture at CP office.
1.9.2016: Felicitation of 20 donor families by Chief Minister at Mumbai University Convocation Hall at 5 pm.
You are cordially invited to all these programs.
Please arrange a small group of 20-25 poeple from your hospital to participate in the Walkathon with
your hospital Placard

Organ donation is when a person allows healthy transplantable organs and tissues to be removed, either after death or while the donor is alive, and transplanted into another person.[1][2] Common transplantations include: kidneys, heart, liver, pancreas,intestines, lungs, bones, bone marrow, skin, and corneas.[1] Some organs and tissues can be donated by living donors, such as a kidney or part of a lung,[2] but most donations occur after the donor has died.[1]
