A patients’ get together for the kidney dialysis patients and kidney transplant recipients was organized by Shravan Hospital and Kidney Institute, Nagpur on 28/9/25 at The City Dhhaba, Nandanwan, Nagpur. Dr. Prakash Khetan, Senior Nephrologist and Transplant Physician, addressed the audience on the nature of kidney disease, awareness about dialysis and debunked the myths about Kidney Transplant. Live Donors of Kidney Transplant recipients were felicitated. Dr. Shravan Khetan, Director, SHPL Management Consultancy Pvt Ltd, made an announcement regarding the prospective plan of a Support group for Kidney patients and urged the patients to volunteer for the cause. Patients shared their experience and journey through the treatment. They specifically emphasized the life-altering incidences they experienced after undergoing a Kidney transplant, like freedom from the dialysis schedules, lesser dietary restrictions, ability to live a normal life and more time for their hobbies and themselves. The audience rose in a standing ovation to honor the dead donors of the recipients of cadaveric renal transplant.
Making the event more lively, fun games like bollywood quiz, housie etc. kept the audience engaged. The event was followed by lunch for all.
