पुण्यातील १० वर्षांच्या मुलीच्या पोटातून केस आणि धाग्यांचा २८० ग्रॅमचा गोळा शस्त्रक्रियेद्वारे काढण्यात आला; दुर्मिळ रपुंझेल सिंड्रोमचा प्रकार

पुणे, १९ ऑक्टोबर २०२५ — पुण्यातील १० वर्षांच्या मुलीच्या पोटातील केस व कापसाचे धागे यांचा २८० ग्रॅमचा मोठा गोळा शस्त्रक्रियेद्वारे काढण्यात आला. हा प्रकार अत्यंत दुर्मिळ रपुंझेल सिंड्रोम म्हणून ओळखला जातो. आजपर्यंत साहित्यात १०० पेक्षा कमी प्रकरणे नोंदवली गेली आहेत.

रुग्ण मागील १० महिन्यांपासून अधूनमधून पोटात वेदना होत होत्या. उपचार करूनही काही फरक न पडल्यामुळे तिला डॉ. कल्पेश ओंकार पाटील (पेडियाट्रिक व निओनेटल लेप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जन, सिम्बायोसिस मेडिकल कॉलेज हॉस्पिटल, लवळे, पुणे) यांच्याकडे दाखल करण्यात आले.

शारीरिक तपासणी व सीटी स्कॅन केल्यानंतर डॉक्टरांनी संपूर्ण पोटात आणि लहान आतड्यांमध्ये पसरलेला मोठा गोळा असल्याचे निदान केले. शस्त्रक्रियेवेळी डॉक्टरांनी २८० ग्रॅमचे केस आणि धाग्यांचे मिश्रण काढले. विशेष म्हणजे काही धागे पित्ताशयात (गॉल ब्लॅडर) देखील गेले होते — जो एक अत्यंत दुर्मिळ प्रकार आहे.

शस्त्रक्रिया सुमारे अडीच तास चालली. त्यानंतर रुग्णाला पेडियाट्रिक आयसीयूमध्ये हलवण्यात आले आणि सातव्या दिवशी खाणे सुरू करण्यात आले. आठव्या दिवशी तिच्या मलातून अजून काही धागे बाहेर पडले.

सध्या रुग्ण पूर्णपणे स्थिर आहे, व्यवस्थित खात आहे आणि लवकरच तिला घरी सोडले जाणार आहे.

डॉ. पाटील यांनी पालकांना लहान मुलांमध्ये असामान्य खाण्याच्या सवयींवर लक्ष ठेवण्याचे आणि वेळेवर वैद्यकीय सल्ला घेण्याचे आवाहन केले आहे.
