Tanefa has also been a practicing essential oil blender for health and wellness since 1997 and she learned Numerology from Lloyd Strayhorn, who is a leader in the field. In 2003 she studied with Iyanla Vanzant in her Spiritual Life Coaching Certification Program for Inner Visions and Empowerment for Women. Tanefa also has a Masters Degree in Education from Loyola University and will be sitting for her therapist licensure in late 2017.

Here are 3 boundaries women need to help them recover from heartbreak and loss. These help you feel comfortable in your interactions and relationships with people. The first of the 5 Habits to FLY was Confidence, and you will need them to enforce boundaries.

For a long time, I had lax boundaries. Being a People Pleaser was what fueled the laxity and I had to stop that because I found myself disappearing.

Remembering to put myself first, and to honor my feelings about where I was and what I needed, helped meme not only enforce boundaries, but also to stop being a people pleaser.

What happens when you stop abandoning parts of yourself?

Integration

I re-read this book called How To Be An Adult at least twice a year that .ellen.gee or advised me to get a long time ago.

It makes you face yourself and aligns with what I know as a licensed counselor and coach, although it’s painful at times to read.

I swear I have thrown this book across the room at least 5 times! 🤭😤

This post was hard to make because I had to look at my shadow and hold her hand and tell her, I see you. I hear you and I love you despite the tantrums and the acting out that has made us have to release relationships we treasured. I know and understand you now and accept you wholly.

The work I am doing is not just for you…

It’s for me too.

And integration is NOT a one time thing! You will uncover layers of yourself like peeling an onion back and each of those layers may require a new vantage point.

A new healing.

And a new you will emerge from the work you do to exist whole, evolved and fully human.

Remember light+shadow=wholeness

I realized in therapy, that have an issue with impulsivity. And as a neurospicy woman of a certain age, I have to use this pause in my personal life. Diligently.

It shows up in all of my relationships, especially when I feel off kilter or like there is a disconnection happening. I am hyper-aware and hyper-vigilant, which in turn amplifies my feeling off kilter as I am constantly reading the room and the people I am interacting with.

I have learned to lead with my pause.

To stop responding through my wounds and trauma lens and pause, so that I can respond with my true self and not with impulsivity.

It’s time to find your pause Sis.
