Ever heard call out “Fissadi Runners”?
No! It’s not an insult.
It’s tough love.

reveals during the Bungee Fit session at StrengthSkap exactly what he means

A “Fissadi Runner” is someone who is:
- Uninformed about how their own body works
- Doesn’t understand heart rate zones
- Doesn’t know how to maintain tempo
- Has no idea how to execute a proper fartlek run
- Fails to adapt & evolve their training to improve performance

And here’s the real point:
This isn’t about shaming anyone. It’s about pushing runners to learn, read, understand, and train smarter so they can stay injury-free, pain-free, and consistent in their running journey.

Running without knowledge doesn’t make you tough.
It just makes you prone to injuries.

Real Breakthroughs happen at StrengthSkap!

Most runners think improvement comes only from running more.
, believes the right support system is crucial to a runner’s journey

Muscle stiffness? Joint mobility issues?
StrengthSkap addresses the root cause and not just the symptoms.

Small corrections. Big gains.
Something as simple as improving hip mobility can directly enhance your cadence, increase stride length, and help you cover more distance with the same effort. (Only at StrengthSkap)

Plateau? We fix that.
Through targeted movement analysis, strength training and recovery protocols, we help runners push past stagnation while staying injury-free.

Smarter recovery = stronger next run
From post-run recovery to structured cool-downs, we ensure your body actually adapts to training, not breaks down from it.

Most amateur runners don’t fail because of fitness!
they fail because of poor strategy.

advices amateur runners about the correct approach:

- Break the race into 3–4 smaller parts and Stop thinking about the full distance. Control the sections.
- Define your average pace as this becomes your anchor, your decision-making guide.
- Adjust your speed around that average making small corrections keep your body in check and help recovery mid-race.
- Stay in Zone 1, not Zone 2 because when you run mostly in Zone 1, your effort becomes more efficient, sustainable, and controlled which means you’re far more likely to finish the race at the same pace you started.

And yes! Slowing down is okay
For amateur runners, slowing down to protect your target pace is not weakness.
It’s race intelligence!

This is how amateurs start running well.

Most runners start fast… and finish exhausted.
Informed runners do the opposite.

It’s called Negative Splits, and it’s pure race science.
, breaks it down:

The first half of your race stays about 1 minute slower than the second half.

In the second half, you increase pace by 5–10 seconds per KM, shifting gears when it matters most.

What’s happening inside your body?
During the First half:
- Your body relies on slow-twitch muscle fibers
- Lactate build up is slow
- Energy usage stays controlled

Second half:
- As speed increases, your body activates fast-twitch fibers
- You are able to sprint instead of hitting the wall

The slightly slower first half reduces glycogen depletion to nearly one-third,
so you still have fuel left when the race is decided at the finish line.

This is how runners stop surviving races… and start acing them!
