I have done a lot of things in the past to lose weight. From adopting Keto/Paleo diets to eating 6 small meals a day to hitting gym 6 days a week but nothing worked for me until I took to Intermittent Fasting.
Fasting to me was like stairs to ‘Po the panda’, a nightmare considering I used to take 3 full meals + snacks in between them during a day.
But a dear friend of mine told me once that all of us fast every day of their life when we sleep i.e., 6-8 hours. Add to it another 2-3 hours from the time you ate dinner to when you sleep and from the time you wake up to the time you have your breakfast. Effectively it meant you were already fasting for about 10-12 hours every day.
This took my fear away, and I started increasing the fasting period one day at a time; from fasting 16-20 hour every day and eating during a 4-hour window to fasting for 48 - 50 hours straight, a lot has changed. I have lost 30 kgs in 6 months and am healthier now than ever.
Through this blog, I would like to share my personal journey from 115 to 85 kg and connect with people who want to or have already adopted intermittent fasting as a lifestyle.
