Proud to have coordinated an enriching Geriatric Oncology session at the 50th ICON Conference in Hyderabad. The discussion gave us a peek into the bright future of Geriatric Oncology and the need for capacity building. Today is World Cancer Day and it's important to
remember that your health matters no matter your
age. As we evaluate and treat older patients, they
need to become the focus of our endeavors. Our
elders deserve nothing less. Prevention and
screening of cancers are essential to maintaining
quality of life, which is the most important factor.
That's why geriatricians and oncologists working
together can make the difference needed. Let's
continue to raise awareness for cancer care and
elderly care

Very often, older adults take multiple prescription medications to manage their wellbeing across different health parameters. It can be a complicated task both for the older adult and their primary caregiver to manage multiple medications.

*About the speaker* Dr Naganath Narasimhan Prem is Chief Consultant Geriatric Medicine /Elderly Care Specialist, Department of Geriatric Medicine, Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai.
