BARBIE just got WAY COOLER! A collector edition of the one and only (as far as we know) Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo wanna be Barbie. Close resemblance, eh?! We hope this makes your heart sing and your day brighter.
The lingering question remains: Does Barbie have Lotus born feet, able to stand on her own and walk the path? Or are her feet still prefabbed for high heel footwear?!

Altruism as the Key for Happiness
Friday, July 31 at 7:00 pm
In our MA (Buddhist Studies) programme, we teach a course on Socially Engaged Buddhism, where students learn about the various ways in which Buddhist practitioners have adopted social causes, which activity they view as an integral aspect of their practice. These include issues such as climate change, environmental degradation, gender issues, human and animal rights, livelihood support and so on.
Today, we bring together two individuals who have pursued a similar path. They have created wealth primarily as a means of social upliftment, in the spirit of service to humanity. Both of them also view their grounding in their respective religious traditions as a factor that nourishes this effort. We invite you to a conversation between two extraordinary individuals: Datuk Dr Lim Siow Jin of DXN Holdings, Malaysia and Shri Samir Somaiya, Chancellor of Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
Date and time: 22nd July, 2020 at 4.00 pm

Dharma Rain Mumbai is a resource centre that endeavours to create a supportive environment for exploring Buddhist thought and practice. We bring people together to connect and accelerate the journey of personal growth and self-transformation.
Dharma Rain is a non-sectarian organisation that provides a platform for the contemplation of all major Buddhist schools and traditions, as well as for dialog and interaction with other religious and scientific traditions.
Our mission is to introduce the principles and philosophy of Buddhism to those on the path of self-awareness and awakening and to encourage the study and practice of those views. We are a forum for dissemination of spiritual wisdom for students, scholars and practitioners. We invite leading dharma teachers and scholars to Mumbai regularly and organize teachings and retreats which are open to all, as is the access to recordings and links to other Buddhist resources.
Dharma Rain also hopes to have as its major resource, a library and documentation section in the near future, that will provide the foundation and framework for a variety of activities, such as lectures, classes, retreats and publications.
We are a nonprofit, run by volunteers and supported entirely by donations, and through participations in the teachings and retreats. Our events are organized through teamwork, with members contributing their resources to the best of their abilities.
