India has over 2.5 million people living with HIV, the second-highest number in the world.

Prepared - an HIV Prevention Initiative, one of the Elton John AIDS Foundation's partners, is working to change this by transforming how young, LGBTQ+ people access HIV care and mental health support.

Through dating apps and social media, PrEPARED’s counsellors like Abhishek initiate confidential conversations with the community, respond to their queries about s*xual health and HIV, and connect them to PrEP, services and support.

We just celebrated Human Rights Day on the 10th December, however the evidence regarding whether q***r people are denied basic human rights is obvious and starkly visible. This article in the Deccan Herald showcases that systematic exclusion begins in early teenage years for q***r children, which can leave a mark for years and decades.

Every institution must create safe spaces for its LGBTQIA+ population to positively impact learning environments and create a supportive atmosphere, and there must be formalized guidelines, created in consultation with q***r stakeholders to ensure the same.
