When Ramnavami celebrations began for the first time with Baba’s permission, he wore a garland around his neck and sent for another one for Bhishm. Then Kirtan started and to the sounds of “Jai Shri Ram” Gulal was thrown all around amidst band and music. People were overjoyed when a thunderous roar was heard. The gulal had fallen into Baba’s eyes and he got angry and began to scold loudly! People got frightened but the intimate devotees who knew baba understood that some evil thoughts, ego and other demons were being slayed by baba’s anger. BESIDES THEY KNEW THAT WHENEVER A NEW THING WAS UNDERTAKEN AT SHIRDI, IT WAS USUAL WITH BABA TO GET WILD AND ANGRY! - SaiSatcharita

My father Shri B.D. Parthasarathy always praised small & big business owners, as their enterprises were the source of employment for many which in turn took the basic needs of many families. Vinuta Srisai Nivas managed by my brother Vinatheya and mother Vijaya, is in a small way, also a source of income to the daily garbage collector, the lady cleaner who cleans fallen leaves of the peepal tree my mother planted many years ago in front of our house, the daily house chores maid, the pujari who does Puja every Thursday and many others to name a few. We must employ people to help us if we can.
