Skin prick test for allergy
More than 25% of Indians are suffering from allergic diseases. Major IgE mediated allergic diseases include urticaria, bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis. Reasons for the increased prevalence in India may be due to changing lifestyles, ethnicity, air pollution, lack of access to AIT. Major allergens include pollen grains, fungal spores, foods, insects, and dust mites.
