Excision of Laryngopyocele

Patient presented with neck swelling, difficulty in swallowing and breathing, and voice changes. Surgical excision of laryngopyocele was performed. Tracheostomy was done beforehand to secure the airway and prevent complications from infection or postoperative swelling.

🦷 Nasopalatine Duct Cyst (Incisive Canal Cyst)
A developmental cyst arising from epithelial remnants of the nasopalatine duct — usually located in the midline of the anterior maxilla, behind the central incisors.

🔍 Clinical Features:

Midline swelling in anterior palate

May cause discomfort or expansion

Vital central incisors (helps differentiate from periapical cyst)

🧠 Diagnosis:
Confirmed through radiographic features (inverted pear/heart-shaped radiolucency) and histopathology.

🩺 Treatment:
Complete enucleation via palatal approach.

Carcinoma of lower alveolus managed with marginal mandibulectomy, modified neck dissection, and free radial forearm flap (FRAFF) reconstruction.
Ensured oncologic clearance while preserving mandibular continuity for function and aesthetics.
Follow-up images show good flap uptake and healing outcome.
