Male 40 years came for vague abdominal discomfort. Organs were normal.
Incidentally a small 16*20mm lesion is detected along anterior margin of the gastric fundus. It is hypoechoic, located between mucosa & serosa. In the muscularis layer, hence reported as Gastric Leiomyoma. Sent for Endoscopy.
An oval polyp is seen at that site. Punch biopsy did not show malignant cells. Specific histological diagnosis not given.
After eleven months, repeat USG did not show any significant change in the size of the lesion. (benign, slow growing)
Endoscopy by Dr Anant kumar Singh, Arvind Hospital PATNA.
