Male 40 years came for vague abdominal discomfort. Organs were normal.
Incidentally a small 16*20mm lesion is detected along anterior margin of the gastric fundus. It is hypoechoic, located between mucosa & serosa. In the muscularis layer, hence reported as Gastric Leiomyoma. Sent for Endoscopy.
An oval polyp is seen at that site. Punch biopsy did not show malignant cells. Specific histological diagnosis not given.
After eleven months, repeat USG did not show any significant change in the size of the lesion. (benign, slow growing)

!Male, 70 yrs. Had jaundice in 1990, Known Hepatitis B Positive since 2011. Came with abdominal distension. An episode of haematuria.
USG showed Ascites, coarse liver with granular surface & focal mass in right lobe. In the background of hep B +, the mass is likely to be neoplastic, Hepatocellular carcinoma.
Additional finding-Epigastric hernia containing fluid. And Urinary bladder polyp(Cause of haematuria)

He has reddish spots with serum and pus discharge in both axillae.
USG showed edematous hypoechoic bands and nodules in epidermal layer with edema in fat. No enlarged lymph nodes.
Findings favour skin infection consistent with Axillary Hidradenitis suppurative.

USG showed multiple, round, focal hyperechoic lesions of 1-2cms D. Echotexture and the size of the spleen are normal.
These are Splenic haemangioma, benign tumours containing fine blood vessels. Generally asymptomatic, rarely may bleed internally.

Man 60 years presented with vague pain abdomen.
USG showed A small 30-40 mm size hypoechoic lesion in relation to small intestine. Its location changed with change of posture. Feeding vessels seen. It was located abutting a loop of the intestine.
Impression -Solid Gut mass likely to be GIST (Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumour).

USG learning
The USG video shows umbilical cord around the neck of the fetus.
Blue and red color coding represent artery and vein in the cord.
The inward curving of the vessel in posterior part indicates that cord is encircling the fetal neck.
This is an emergency situation during late pregnancy (36weeks onwards). May require elective caesarian delivery.

Male 77 years was sonographed for minimal abdominal discomfort.
An intra abdominal lump is found in left pelvoabdominal area. Size 7-8 cms diameter. Patient was not aware of the lump.The lump has smooth outline, hypoechoic periphery and echogenic center representing air--Gut sign.
Adjacent ileal loops showed normal peristalsis.
It is gut related mass, likely to be GIST - Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumour.

The wall of the gallbladder is thick and irregular.
Point to note is minute indentations caused by minute nodules on liver surface.
The liver is coarse and nodular--A sign of Chronic liver disease.
