Skull crushers don’t have to crush your elbows or your ego. Do them right and they’re one of the best triceps builders around.
Here’s the clean form checklist
• Lie back, eyes under the bar or dumbbells
• Upper arms stay locked in place, perpendicular to the floor
• Only your forearms move. No flaring, no drifting
• Lower the weight behind your forehead, not to it. Your triceps want tension, not drama
• Control the negative, pause briefly, then extend hard without snapping your elbows
• Keep the load honest. If your shoulders are helping, your triceps are on vacation
Slow reps. Full range. Elbows happy. Triceps cooked.
