this is something I hear far too often, and it still surprises me.

It makes me pause and ask:
How does such an expectation even form?
How can someone’s time, effort, preparation, and responsibility be expected at no cost?

Perhaps it began with a noble intention.
Free yoga was introduced to build awareness, accessibility, and goodwill.

But somewhere along the way, that intention shifted.

What was meant to support the practice has slowly started harming the ecosystem.

Yes, free yoga can help build a habit —
but it is also building a habit of free yoga,
where effort is taken for granted and value is overlooked.

Awareness should lead to respect.
Not entitlement.

— without pausing to ask why.

What slowly builds is not growth,
but overload.
Of time. Of energy. Of attention.

This is a gentle reminder to simplify.
