Hello my friends! I am so excited to connected with you tomorrow for our April Women's Fire council. I am already feeling into the potency of this upcoming session. The collective voice of the women is still learning to be free, still finding its way through the centuries of beliefs and norms that only worked towards curbing it down.

Something I wrote sometime ago and has resurged -

Voice

Culmination of permutation and combination of numerous sounds. Each carrying its own unique vibration.

Each vibration coloured in the many facets of emotions.

Rising and falling like symphony of waves in the ocean. Pure and raw and wild in essence. Moulded to culture and preference. A layer on top of another, many centuries old.

As I peel, so I feel and I wonder, what must be my original sound?

It’s time to come together in love again. It’s time to weave our stories and bring back to life the hidden gems waiting to shine.

In our coming council we’ll dive into the judgements and peel off its layers to see what lies beneath. Bring your hearts and know what it is to be able to rest in the support and strength of togetherness. What it means to be in a non-judgemental space.

Here’a a prayer for protection. This prayer was handed down to me by my mom during my first miscarriage. I have held on to it since and found peace and strength meditating on it. Resting in the knowing that I’m protected at all times!

This prayer was written by Guru Arjan devji, the fifth Sikh guru. It was written to bring protection and eliminate all insecurities. - Taati wao na lagaee

Note - I have taken the meaning from different sites while searching for it in google and made tweaks where I felt the meaning was not clear.

Taati wao na Lagai
Paarbrahm sarnai
(The hot winds cannot blow over him who is under the protection of the creator.)

Chaugirdh hamaare Raam kaar
Dukh lagge na bhai
(On all four directions I’m surrounded by Lord’s circle of protection and so pain doesn’t afflict me Oh siblings of destiny!)

Satgur pura bheteya
Jin banat banaai
(I have met perfect true Guru
Who has brought this happy consummation)

Raam ma’am aukhad Diya
Eka liv laai
(He has blessed me with the medicine of the Lord’s Name as a remedy and I’m attuned with the creator now.)

Raha liye tin rakhanhaar
Sab byaadh mitai
(The creator, who is the protector of all has saved me and eradicated all my sickness and troubles.)

Kaho Nanak Kirpa bhaiee
Prabh Bhaye sahaai
(Nanak (the first Sikh guru) says, “the creator has showered me with His mercy
He has become my support)
