- Consume 2-3 teaspoons ghee
- Have food according to your body PRAKRITI
- A teaspoon of homemade Chyawanprash (especially in winter)

Did you know? Alzheimer’s is called ‘VataVyadhi’ in Sanskrit.

Alzheimer's is a progressive neurologic disorder that causes the brain to shrink (atrophy) and brain cells to die.

It is the most common cause of dementia — a continuous decline in thinking, behavioral and social skills that affect a person's ability to function independently.

This World Alzheimer's Day, I Ankita Vaidya, would like to take a global opportunity to raise awareness around, educate, encourage support of and demystify dementia.

Prevent Alzheimer's with Ayurveda, consume these –

1. Brahmi - known to cool and calm your nerves. Brahmi capsule can be taken twice a day after 30-45mins of meals or Mix a spoonful of Brahmi powder in a glass of Milk.

2. Curcumin supplements – Reduces Amyloid accumulation, oxidative stress and inflammation. It can taken 1 capsule a day after lunch.

3. Ashwagandha - Stimulates nerve endings and improves the blood supply to cells. Have it as a Herbal Tea in between meals or have 3-5 gms of Ashwagandha powder with milk or water or 1 capsule 30 mins before or after food.
