Which type of therapy is best for me?

This is one of the most FAQs of my career.

So the answer is here,

Both the type of therapies serve their purpose.

If you want to just vent out, work on a minor situation then single session therapy is best for you.

If you want to work on a major life situation, want lasting results then multiple therapy sessions are recommended.

A gentle reminder, not all therapist provide single session therapy, kindly ask the therapist/ psychologist about your goals, expectations from a therapy session.

These are the easiest steps in which you can practice self love every single day.

1️⃣ Memories are part of your life which you store in your mind. So you are in control of what you want to relive and create new memories about.

2️⃣ One act of kindness can bring joy and happiness into your life. One kind word, one positive thought can change your life.

3️⃣ As humans we all have an inner critic. It is time to stop your inner critic from sabotaging your life and plans of success and prosperity.

4️⃣ There are times when you feel a voice, a sense or a feeling guiding you from taking a step, making a life decision. Listen to that inner voice, it is your inner child/ wisdom communicating with you.

5️⃣ Stay in the now helps you to build the foundation for your bright future. Additionally, it helps you to make decisions or takes step based on your present life experiences rather than the past.

🌸4 important components of self love🌸

Self love is a concept, you may be familiar with but there are times you may wonder what exactly is it.

Self love consists of these 4 components:

a. Self acceptance:
Accepting yourself just the way you are. Accepting your flaws, mistakes, wins, fails, strengths and achievements.

b. Self care:
Indulging in activities and task which make you happy, help you to relax and rejuvenate.

c. Being kind to self:
Even though you make a mistake / error, instead of criticising yourself or blaming oneself. You express compassion and unconditional love to self.

d. Prioritising self:
No matter the circumstances in your life, you always put your self first. At the same time show compassion to others.

🌸Is therapy for me?🌸

In my practice, this is one of the most commonly asked question," Is therapy for me?"

The answer is simple.

Therapy is for everyone.

A role of the therapist is to help, guide and support an individual to achieve their desired goals, live a meaningful and happy life.

Here are 3 indicators to check if you need to seek counselling session?

1. I am able to function normally in daily routine but my mind keeps on focusing on unwanted things.
2. I am not able to function properly in day to day life.
3. I am feeling stuck in my life, I don't know how to move forward.

Above I have mentioned some of the reasons, there can be many other reasons to seek help.

🌸Is self love really selfish?

You may hear several versions of self love from different spiritual mentors, but there is no set definition for self love.

Self love is unique to every individual as self (each individual is unique).

🌸As per my definition “ Self love is what we feel, think and how behave with oneself.”

Example, how do you feel about yourself? Do you feel loveable, angry, resentment?

In the post, I have written my keep points about self love.

My version of self love.

1. Be compassionate towards self and others. How do you treat yourself and others?
2. Be assertive. Express yourself, at the same time be mindful of others feelings and emotions.
3. Putting yourself first. Prioritising oneself.
4. I accept myself exactly as I am

🌸How manifestation changed my life?

Few years ago, if someone told me,” you can change your life.” I would have laughed at them.

I was a non believer.

Always use to think,” no one can change their life. It is pre written and my fate is sealed.”

Then I went on a spiritual path and discovered power of manifestation.

I started working with law of attraction and law of vibration.

The more I believed in my manifestation, the better results I started seeing in my life.

🌸Things that changed, modified and came into my life:

1. I became bold and self confident. My social anxiety reduced.
2. My friend circle changed. I met people who supported me and believed in me.
3. I started my own private practice and started a new side hustle.
4. I got opportunity which helped me to grow as an individual
5. And most importantly, I learnt to cherish life and be in the moment.

“Don’t ever give up on your self and dreams”
