"3 RECIPES WHICH TURNED MY ATTITUDE TO FOOD
We have returned from India and memories still remain. I brought you recipes from the chef from
1. CHICKEN SATE ( warming power )
What is needed:
· Chicken fillet 500 g
· Natural yogurt 200 ml
· Fresh ginger (grated) 1 lb.
· Turmeric 1 tsp.
· Ground coriander 1 tsp.
· Honey - 1 tsp.
· Lime/lemon juice - 2 tablespoons.
· Himalayan salt
What to do:
1. Slice the fillet in strips.
2. Mix yogurt, spices, honey and lime juice. Marinate the chicken in this sauce for 2 hours (can be overnight).
3. Lower on twigs and roast on the grill or in the oven until brownish. Why it works: Ginger and cumin “kindle” the digestive fire, turmeric relieves inflammation, and yogurt makes meat tender and easy to digest.
2. CREAM OF PUMPKIN SOUP
What is needed:
· Pumpkin 600 g
· Coconut milk 200 ml
· Onion 1 pc.
· 2 cloves of garlic
· Vegetable broth — 500 ml
· Coconut oil - 1 lb.
· Pumpkin seeds for serving
What to do:
1. Onion and garlic pass in coconut oil until tender.
2. Add cut pumpkin, turmeric, pour in the broth and cook until the pumpkin is ready.
3. Grind with a blender, pour coconut milk, add nutmeg and heat.
4. Pass by sprinkling pumpkin seeds. Why it works: Pumpkin and coconut milk soothe Vata-dosha (air), giving a sense of grounding, and turmeric cleanses the body at a cellular level.
3. LOCAL GRILLED FISH WITH VEGETABLES
For clarity of mind, lightness in the body and a surge of strength.
What is needed:
· Salmon steaks or any white fish 2 pcs.
· Zucchini 1 pc.
· Bell pepper 1 pc.
· Asparagus 100 g
· Olive oil 2 tablespoons.
· Lemon juice 2 tablespoons.
· Fresh dill, sea salt, black pepper
What to do:
1. Spray the fish with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
2. Cut the vegetables in large quantities, spray with oil.
3. Grill everything: first vegetables until tender, then fish 3-4 minutes on each side.
4. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh dill. Why it works: Fish is a source of pure protein and Omega-3s for clarity of mind, and grilled vegetables retain maximum benefits and provide energy, not weight.
