In primary school, we read that Proteins are the building block of muscles!
Research has found out, the current RDA for all adults for protein is at 0.8gm/kg - 1.8gm/kg per day is optimal amount.
So when we are in a state of Calorie Deficit, the importance of proteins increases more.
Why?
As we Lost weight our body tends to lose muscle mass as well, so to retain that muscle mass we need to have adequate proteins in the diet.
Proteins helps us to be satiated, which keeps your cravings at bay. Less the cravings, less the consumption of unnecessary calories.
Proteins have the highest thermic effect of food, means when you eat more proteins, you burn more calories even at rest, as body requires more energy to digest proteins.
Proteins helps you to Gain Muscles as well, which helps to gain strength, asthetics and toning as per your Goal.
