A fascinating blue coloured building in Pushkar with a department store on the ground floor and a restaurant on the upper floor.

I had a sweet interaction with an adolescent boy who was manning the counter of the department store at around 10 in the night. He was clearly bright, spunky and had seen a lot of hardship in life. Despite all the financial struggles that he had seen, he was still pursuing studies alongside doing a full time job. He hadn’t given up his aspirations for the future in the face of adversity and the need to survive.

The boy was curious about us as customers and had a jolly smile on his face. ‘Nice to meet you’, he chirpily called out to me in English as we exited the store after buying a face wash.
