Ayurvedic Summer Wisdom βοΈπΏ
In Ayurveda, summer is called Grishma Ritu, when the sunβs heat increases Pitta and gradually weakens body strength. To stay healthy, Ayurveda advises us to cool, hydrate, and calm the body.
πΏ Eat cooling foods
Choose sweet and hydrating foods like watermelon, mango, grapes, cucumber, rice, milk, and ghee.
π₯₯ Drink natural cooling beverages
Coconut water, buttermilk, sugarcane juice, lemon water, and herbal drinks help replenish fluids.
π§ Reduce heavy physical exertion
The bodyβs strength is lowest in summer, so avoid intense workouts and excessive sun exposure.
πΈ Keep the body cool naturally
Use sandalwood paste, rose water, and take cool baths to reduce body heat.
π Rest well and avoid harsh sun
Stay in shaded, cool environments and sleep properly to maintain energy.
β¨ Ayurveda teaches that living according to seasons (Ritucharya) is the key to long-term wellness.
