& Valedictory Session

The first session of the day was conducted by Vd. Bhavin Chavda (Assistant Professor, Department of Rasashastra evam Bhaishajya Kalpana). Sir delivered two insightful topics: “Presentation Skills: Structuring an Academic Presentation with Good Content” and “Reflection: Becoming a Vaidya – Discovering My Path to Purpose.” He explained the importance of designing logically structured, visually clear presentations and emphasized developing self-awareness and commitment to personal growth on the path toward becoming a transformative Vaidya.

The second session was led by Vd. Khushbu Odedara and Vd. Amritha A.T, who conducted the Post-Test and collected feedback from students. This session aimed to assess the knowledge gained during the programme and gather valuable suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of future sessions.

The third session was delivered by Vd. Aakash K, covering the topic “Reflection on Mindfulness – Ayurveda and Yoga as India’s Soft Power Diplomacy Through Wellness.” Sir provided a thoughtful closure to the mindfulness module, inspiring students with a positive outlook and offering a global perspective on Ayurveda and Yoga. He highlighted the pride associated with India’s cultural and wellness identity.

The fourth session featured a Talent Show organized for the new first-year students. They enthusiastically showcased their talents through group songs, dance performances, skits, and other creative presentations. Their efforts were appreciated by all, and they were rewarded with tokens of appreciation.

In the afternoon, the official valedictory ceremony of Ayurpraveshika, the 15-day Transitional Curriculum Programme, was held with great enthusiasm and grace. The function began with Deepa Prajwalan accompanied by the Dhanwantari hymn, performed by the dignitaries to mark the auspicious beginning. Vd. Vijay Telang (Vice Principal) welcomed everyone with a warm and heartfelt address, followed by an introductory speech by Vd. Mehul Joshi (Campus Director). Vd. Mehul Joshi welcomed the chief guest with a bouquet.

The event was honoured by the presence of the chief guest and resource person, Vd. Harshvardhan Jobanputra (M.D. [Ayu], Shalyatantra; RAV Guru; Founder and Guru, Ksharsutra Academy; SAAN – Sushrut Ayurved Academy; Sushrut Hospital, Nadiad). Sir delivered a powerful presidential address on “Why Ayurveda is More Relevant Than Ever? – My Journey as an Ayurvedic Doctor.” His inspiring words deeply enriched the students and faculty, motivating them toward academic excellence and personal development.

A feedback speech on the overall Transitional Curriculum Programme was then presented by the new first-year students, sharing their experiences and learnings. Vd. Harshvardhan Jobanputra sir was felicitated with a memento and certificate by Mr. Siddharth Mehta (Trustee), Vd. Mehul Joshi and Vd. Vijay Telang as a token of gratitude for his gracious presence.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Vd. Anand S (Associate Professor & HOD, Department of Roga Nidan evam Vikriti Vigyan), expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their contribution to the successful completion of Ayurpraveshika.

DAY – 14 (28/11/2025)

The first session involved a rural area visit under Jeevaneeya – Ayurveda Arogya Mitra Abhiyan. Students visited the Aarambh Nasha Mukti Centre at Gadhka Patiyu, Rajkot, to understand how rural communities can be linked to Ayurvedic concepts of health preservation. Mr. Hiteshbhai and Mr. Yashasbhai explained the centre’s functioning, their unique approach to substance de-addiction, and their professional experiences. The students were accompanied by Vd. Anand S and Vd. Aakash K.

The second session was conducted by Vd. Dhara Deliwala (Assistant Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya) on two topics: "Cultural Competence & Disability Awareness" and "Effective Time Management Strategies – “Sankalpa to Siddhi.” Madam highlighted the importance of understanding patient challenges, developing empathy in disability care and rehabilitation, and adopting skills to balance academics, clinical practice and self-care.

The third session was delivered by Vd. K. R. Baldaniya (Ayurveda practitioner and infertility specialist, Sahjanand Hospital and Maternity Home, Rajula) on "Success Stories of Ayurveda in action: real life patient care success story by expert in modern research". Sir shared real-life success stories from his clinical practice, especially in wound healing & infertility treatment. His experiences inspired students by providing role models and helping them visualize personal and professional goals.

The fourth session was conducted by Vd. Mehul Joshi on "Guest Health Policy in Charak Samhita and Ayurveda’s role in shaping modern health diplomacy". Sir explained the relevance of Charak Samhita in the present context and its various applied aspects.

The fifth session was led by Mr. Jaydev Gamot on वदतु संस्कृतम् – Sanskrit Orientation. Sir taught the basics of the Sanskrit alphabet, pronunciation, spoken Sanskrit for Ayurvedic terminology and interactive grammar practice. He emphasized understanding the script used in classical Ayurvedic texts, using basic Sanskrit terms in the classroom and improving recall through foundational grammar skills.

DAY – 13 (27/11/2025)

The first session, led by Vd. Anand S, covered “Academic Writing: Introduction to Scientific Writing & Plagiarism.” Participants learned how to properly structure research writing and use citations to avoid plagiarism — a foundation that promotes academic integrity and disciplined research writing.

In the second session, Vd. Divy Bhalodi introduced the “Orientation on National To***co Control Programme,” giving an overview of to***co de-addiction efforts and public-health measures. This raised awareness about societal health challenges and emphasized the role of health education in preventive care.

The third session, on “Ayurveda & Communication / Media Studies” by Vd. Neenu V, discussed how traditional knowledge like Ayurveda can be effectively communicated and positioned in the global wellness industry. This highlighted the importance of good communication and media-awareness for promoting holistic health traditions.

The fourth session — “वदतुसंस्कृतम्”, a Sanskrit practice session by Mr. Jaydev Gamot — aimed to improve spoken Sanskrit fluency and confidence. This helped participants connect more deeply with classical texts and traditional knowledge, especially relevant for those studying Ayurveda or classical disciplines.

In the fifth session, Vd. Mrunal Akre explained “Ayurveda Psychology,” correlating the classical concept of Satva, Rajas, and Tamas with modern psychology. This session offered a holistic perspective on mental health and temperament, bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary understandings of stress and mental well-being.

The sixth session, led by Vd. Aakash K, provided a “Basic Understanding of Ashtanga Yoga for Physical and Mental Well-being.” Participants were introduced to yoga’s principles — supporting both physical health and mental balance, reinforcing the value of integrating traditional practices for holistic wellness.

In the seventh session, “Swasthya, Satya, Seva: Ayurveda Student’s Commitment of Self, Society and World,” facilitated by Vd. Jagruti Shanishchara, students were encouraged to maintain personal health, uphold truth, and devote themselves to service. This fostered a sense of social responsibility, compassion, and ethical commitment among participants.

The eightht session, moderated by Vd. Bharat Sangle, addressed “Orientation on Co-curricular Arrangement, Indoor/Outdoor Sports Facilities, House Formation.” It focused on organizing group activities, utilising sports and co-curricular resources, and forming student houses — promoting teamwork, leadership, social bonding, and overall personality development.

The first session was conducted by Vd. Dipti Pandya on “Ayurveda and Agriculture (Krishi Ayurveda)”. Madam emphasized the importance of sustainable agriculture and organic farming, explaining how Ayurvedic principles can guide farmers toward environmentally friendly practices that support both soil health and human well-being.

The second session was taken by Vd. Chandani Aghara on “What are the risks if technology overtakes human wisdom? Digital toxicity”. Madam discussed the growing influence of technology and highlighted the need to prevent it from overshadowing human intelligence. She stressed that technology and AI should be used as supportive tools rather than replacements for human wisdom, encouraging a balance between traditional knowledge and modern advancements.

The third session was delivered by Vd. Parvathy R. Warrier on “Ayurveda and Economics of Health”. Madam explained Ayurveda’s significant role in preventive healthcare and its potential to reduce the overall healthcare burden. She also highlighted how Ayurveda contributes to affordable and sustainable health systems and its increasing relevance in the global health economy.

The fourth session was led by Vd. Shreyas Bhalodia on “Overview of Other Indian Medical Systems”. Sir introduced various traditional systems such as Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, Yoga & Naturopathy and Homeopathy, explaining their principles, unique perspectives and scope in today’s healthcare field.

The fifth session was conducted by Vd. Amritha A.T on “Digital Literacy and LMS Orientation”. Madam explained how the Learning Management System (LMS) can support academic success by providing easy access to resources, enabling assignment submissions and promoting independent learning. She also encouraged the responsible and judicious use of digital tools.

The sixth session was taken by Vd. Dish*ta Padia on “Ayurvedic Perspective of Deaddiction”. Madam explained the role of Satvavajeya Chikitsa and Rasayana in promoting mental strength, rejuvenation and an addiction-free lifestyle. She encouraged students to be aware of their habits and adopt a healthy, balanced way of living.

The first session was conducted by Vd. Kunal Gurav on “Reflection: Empathy and Expression.” In this session, sir highlighted the importance of empathy, encouraging compassion, active listening, and cultural sensitivity. He emphasized how these qualities help in improving communication and building meaningful connections, especially in a healthcare environment.

The second session was taken by Mr. Jaydev Gamot on “वदतुसंस्कृतम् – Shloka Recitation Practice.” The focus of this session was to enhance rhythm, clarity, pronunciation, and confidence in Sanskrit recitation. Students were guided on proper techniques to improve fluency and accuracy in chanting shlokas.

The third session was delivered by Vd. Neenu V (Associate Professor & HOD, Department of Kaumarabhritya), on “Nation Building: Ayurveda as a Pillar of India’s Health Security.” Madam explained the significant contribution of Ayurveda to the national healthcare framework and its growing integration within the National Health Policy. The session emphasized the role of Ayush systems in promoting holistic and preventive healthcare in India.

The fourth session was conducted by Vd. Mehul Joshi (Campus Director), on “Applying Triguna Theory for Emotional Intelligence, Stress Management, and Atmanirbharata.” Sir explained the relevance of the three gunas—Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas—in understanding one’s emotions and behavior in today’s world. The session connected ancient wisdom with modern-day student life, highlighting its usefulness in self-awareness, stress management, and personal growth.

The fifth session was led by Vd. Anjana A (Assistant Professor, Department of Prasuti Ta**ra evam Striroga), on “Soft Skills & Life Skills in Ayurvedic Context and the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Academics.” Madam discussed essential soft skills such as discipline, observation, patience, leadership, adaptability, and integrity rooted in Dharma. She also explained communication and empathy-based care, along with the use of AI in education, diagnostic research, and methods to easily access study materials through adaptive learning platforms.

The sixth session was conducted by Vd. Bharat Sangle and focused on “Orientation on Co-curricular Arrangements and Sports Facilities.” Sir introduced the indoor and outdoor sports infrastructure and explained the concept of house formation. The session aimed to encourage teamwork, participation, and the development of creative ideas through various co-curricular activities.

The day began with a session by Vd. L.K.P.S. Rathore on basic first-aid training, where sir elaborated on managing cuts, wounds, sprains, shock, bleeding, and other common emergency situations, emphasizing appropriate remedial actions and preparedness for clinical scenarios.

The second session, conducted by Vd. Khushbu Odedara, involved a group activity, guiding students to explore basic concepts of Ayurveda through Google Scholar and other digital learning resources.

This was followed by Vd. Malashree Gadadi (Associate Professor & HOD, Shalakyatantra), who spoke on “Integrative Tradition with Ambition: Goal Setting in Ayurveda Education,” highlighting the development of competence in Ashtanga Ayurveda and the importance of setting structured learning milestones.

The fourth session, “वदतुसंस्कृतम् – Spoken Sanskrit,” was taken by Mr. Jaydev Gamot, who introduced the fundamentals of Chhandas and explained rhythmic patterns found in Sanskrit shlokas.

The fifth session focused on orientation to co-curricular arrangements, including sports facilities and house formation, monitored by Vd. Bharat Sangle and Mr. Jaydev Gamot, to encourage physical activity and promote overall well-being.

In the sixth session, Vd. Chandani Aghara (Assistant Professor, Kaumarabhritya) delivered an insightful talk on Ayurveda and Personalized Medicine, explaining Prakriti Pariksha as Ayurveda’s foundational personalized health model, now supported by genomic research.

The seventh session was a video-based learning module, supervised by Vd. Anand S (Associate Professor & HOD, Roga Nidan evam Vikriti Vigyan), offering an overview of other Indian medical systems—Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, Yoga & Naturopathy, and Homeopathy—and their functional approaches.

The day concluded with a calming mindfulness session led by Vd. Snehal Patel & Vd. Riddhi Sardhara, reinforcing clarity, focus, and commitment toward personal and academic growth.

As part of the Transitional Curriculum Program – Ayurpraveshika for newly admitted First Professional students (Batch 2025–2026), the formal inaugural ceremony was organized on 22nd November 2025 at 09:15 AM in the institute auditorium. Seeking the auspicious blessings of Lord Dhanwantari, Deepa Prajwalan was performed by all college dignitaries along with the chief guest, in the presence of all faculty members, non teaching & Hospital staff, parents, and students, accompanied by the chanting of the Dhanwantari Mantra.

Vd. Shreyas Bhalodia (Principal) delivered the welcome address and greeted all the invitees. This was followed by a speech from Vd. Vijay Telang (Vice Principal), who spoke on the essential aspects and understanding of the newly revised CBDC curriculum for first-year students.

Vd. Mehul Joshi (Campus Director) highlighted the milestones achieved by GIA and GAH, the accomplishments of the institute, distinguished alumni, and the effective functioning of the hospital.

The chief guest for the event was Prof. Vd. Hitesh Jani (Founder President, Ayurved Vyaspeeth, Gujarat Prant), who was warmly welcomed by Vd. Mehul Joshi with a floral bouquet. Sir delivered the presidential address on “Heritage in Young Hands: Youth as Brand Ambassadors of Ayurveda.” He emphasized the vital role of young Ayurveda aspirants in elevating the global value of our ancient science. He further explained the positive impact of adopting Ayurvedic principles in day-to-day life and highlighted the irreplaceable benefits of dairy products, particularly cow’s ghee, in maintaining health. An interactive session between the chief guest and parents followed thereafter.

The event was anchored by Vd. Dipti Pandya (Assistant Professor, Department of Agadtantra), who also proposed the vote of thanks to conclude the program.

Thereafter, as per the TCP schedule, a regular lecture session was conducted by Vd. Parvathy R. Warrier (Assistant Professor, Department of Shalakya Ta**ra) on the topic ‘Ayurveda Ethics & Philosophy in the Context of Sadvritta’, wherein madam elaborated on professional values, life ethics, compassion, and integrity in healthcare.

The event was coordinating by the Cultural Commitee & Students council Cell
