The session was attended by RIMS Medical Superintendent Prof. (Dr.) Hirendra Birua, Dept. of Nephrology Head Dr. Pragya Pant Ghosh, SOTTO Nodal Officer Dr. Rajiv Ranjan and Nephroplus team members.

अंगदान के महत्व को जन जन तक पहुंचाने के उद्देश्य से SOTTO झारखंड द्वारा रिम्स अस्पताल, रांची के परिसर में इस से संबंधित जानकारीपूर्ण पोस्टर विभिन्न जगहों पर लगाए गए हैं। रिम्स ओपीडी में करीब 2000 मरीज झारखंड के विभिन्न जिलों से इलाज के लिए आते हैं।

An awareness and pledging session was jointly organized by SOTTO Jharkhand and Bagheria Foundation today at Chakradharpur, West Singhbhum district. The session was attended by more than 100 people.

Shri Kundan Gope, Gold Medalist at 53rd Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship and four time National Champion vowed his support for this noble cause.

The event was attended by people from all walks of life including local political leaders, educationists, sportspersons, health workers, social workers and students.

SOTTO in collaboration with St. Xavier's College, Ranchi and 1/3 COY SXC NCC organized an awareness session on the occasion of World Organ Donation day. The awareness session was attended by more than 30 NCC cadets and many students from the Zoology department.

Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, Nodal Officer, SOTTO Jharkhand highlighted the importance of organ donation and how it can change the lives of organ failure patients while Ms Salvia Sharli, SOTTO IEC Consultant explained the pledging process to the cadets.

Dr. Priya Shrivastava, Associated NCC Officer, St. Xavier's College and Dr. Swati Bhagat, Transplant Coordinator, SOTTO Jharkhand were also present on the occasion.

SOTTO Jharkhand organized an awareness session and signature campaign at recently concluded Sawan Mela, organized by Marwari Yuva Manch, Ranchi Samarpan. Lot of queries related to myths, process of organ donation and pledging were recieved from the enthusiastic members, exhibitors and visitors. Many members took the pledge to save lives through organ donation.

SOTTO झारखंड द्वारा आज अंगदान दिवस के अवसर पर एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया| कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि रिम्स निदेशक प्रो (डॉ) राजकुमार थे। कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए डॉ राजकुमार ने अंग दान के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला और बताया कि कैसे एक ब्रेन डेड व्यक्ति कई लोगों की जान बचा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि अंगदान को बढ़ावा देने के लिए जन जागरूकता की आवश्यकता है और रिम्स की ओर से भी अंगदान जागरूकता के लिए विभिन्न प्रकार के कदम उठाए जाएंगे। "परिसर में जगह जगह अंगदान का संदेश लगाया जाएगा और ओपीडी भवन में मरीजों के बीच कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जाएगा।" साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि रिम्स में प्रत्यारोपण की सुविधा होनी चाहिए और इस संबंध में स्वास्थ्य विभाग में लंबित फाइल को आवश्यक अनुमोदन हेतु कार्यवाई की जाएगी।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य वक्ता मेदांता हॉस्पिटल के सीनियर नेफ्रोलॉजिस्ट डॉ अमित कुमार ने अपने संबोधन में वर्तमान में किडनी प्रत्यारोपण की चुनौतियों के विषय में बताया और कैसे राज्य में मृत्यु पश्चात अंगदान को बढ़ावा देकर इन चुनौतियों से निपटा जा सकता है।

वहीं रिम्स निश्चेतना विभाग के डॉ तुषार ने ब्रेन स्टेम डेथ के विषय में विस्तृत जानकारी दी। एक ब्रेन से मृत व्यक्ति की पहचान से लेकर ब्रेन डेड घोषणा के विषय में उन्होंने पूरी जानकारी साझा की।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान अगस्त 2 को हुए विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं के विजेताओं को सम्मानित भी किया गया।

Ahead of Organ Donation Day, SOTTO Jharkhand in collaboration with & organized face/t-shirt painting and poster making competition. In face/t-shirt painting Aditya Diwaka, Nitish Tiwari & Abhishek Prasad were declared winners while Shristi was declared winner in Poster Making Competition. More than 22 participants displayed their creativity through body art competition. All the winners and runner ups will be felicitated on August 3rd in presence of Director RIMS Prof. Raj Kumar.

State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (सोटो) Jharkhand द्वारा भगवान महावीर मेडिका सुपरस्पेशिलिटी हॉस्पिटल के चिकित्सकों एवं नर्सों के लिए अंगदान पर जागरूकता सत्र का आयोजन किया गया| सोट्टो के नोडल पदाधिकारी डॉ राजीव रंजन ने कहा कि, "अंगदान के पहले हितधारक चिकित्सक व अन्य स्वास्थ्यकर्मी होते हैं, यदि वह इसमें विश्वास नहीं करेंगे तो आम जनता को अंगदान के लिए समझाना एक कठिन काम होगा|"

जागरूकता सत्र में मेडिका के मेडिकल डायरेक्टर डॉ विजय कुमार मिश्रा, नेफ्रोलॉजी के सीनियर कंसलटेंट डॉ पंकज कुमार मिश्रा, ट्रांसप्लांट सर्जरी कंसलटेंट डॉ सिद्धार्थ कुमार व अन्य विभागों के चिकित्सक मौजूद थे|
