TCL’s strong community and social focus is evident through its involvement in the Vedavalli Vidyalaya Schools in the Vellore District, SIWS Schools & Colleges in Mumbai and in the Thirumalai Charity Trust, which runs the Thirumalai Mission Hospital in Ranipet. Over the past 3 decades, with TCL’s involvement, the Trust has successfully developed and implemented enduring models of Rural Development, Healthcare, and Women’s Empowerment in Vellore District. TCL India operates one of the greenest Chemical / Petrochemical manufacturing sites in the world. Over 90% of the energy/ power for the complexes is from waste heat recovery and recycle. All process and waste waters are recovered and recycled, ensuring a zero discharge complex.
