Honoured to present two talks as Faculty at the Maharashtra Orthopaedics Association Annual Conference in Pune.

First talk was about making smart decisions in Shoulder Injuries , I could explain why surgery is not the only way to get our athletes back on the field!

Second talk was about cracking the diagnosis in sports injuries right on the field and following with imaging to confirm it.

Act fast..get in, explore the nerve and decompress it.
Fix the humerus rigidly with adequate compression.

Give dynamic splints and wait for the nerve to heal naturally!!

Today was all about creating awareness about Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy in our General Practitioner friends!
Focus was on how to identify specific signs in patients so they can receive the right treatment!

कॅल्शियमबाबत गैरसमज असणं सामान्य आहे,
पण हाडांचं आरोग्य टिकवण्यासाठी योग्य माहिती असणं खूप गरजेचं आहे.

अनेकांना वाटतं की कॅल्शियमची गरज फक्त वयस्कर लोकांनाच असते,
पण खरं तर लहान मुलांपासून ते वृद्धांपर्यंत सर्वांसाठी कॅल्शियम अत्यावश्यक आहे.

दूध आणि दुग्धजन्य पदार्थ कॅल्शियमचे चांगले स्रोत आहेत,
मात्र काही वेळा शरीराला आवश्यक तेवढं कॅल्शियम केवळ आहारातून मिळत नाही.

कॅल्शियमची कमतरता सुरुवातीला जाणवत नाही,
पण कालांतराने हाडं कमजोर होणं, सांधेदुखी, फ्रॅक्चरचा धोका वाढू शकतो.

म्हणूनच लक्षणं दिसण्याची वाट न पाहता,
वेळीच तपासणी आणि योग्य सल्ला घेणं हेच हाडांच्या आरोग्यासाठी सर्वात सुरक्षित पाऊल आहे.
