According to new ART Act 2021, every couple/ person undergoing IVF must consent before undergoing his/her gamete/embryo freezing for future use regarding his/her intentions on how it is to be used posthumously. Options are either keep them for self use for next 10years or to perish them or donate to hospital for research purpose.. Under no circumstances, these can be donated to another person for use… each and every consent signed is important and hence one must pay attention to what he/she is consenting to.. 2021

Approx 20Cr women in our country are postmenopausal facing the challenge of coping up with the hormonal changes happening in their body! It not only increases morbidity but also decreases their quality of life..
Menopausal Hormone therapy helps in maintaining their health as well as improves their quality of life but it’s not a basket for everyone and anyone. It has its own indications and if used indiscriminately, can lead to more harm than good! learning its nuances becomes imperative in such scenario.
It was my privilege and honour to participate in a panel discussion on “MHT in different case scenarios” in a conference organised by NORTH ZONE Indian Menopausal Society (NZIMSCON) on 30th November at GMCH , Chandigarh

Surrogacy Act 2021 is a law made to make surrogacy safe and fair in India.
It allows only altruistic surrogacy – where a woman helps a couple have a baby without taking money, except medical costs.
Only Indian married couples who cannot have children naturally can go for surrogacy.
The surrogate must be a close relative, married, and have her own child.
This law protects women from misuse and keeps the process ethical.
