Wandering for Wellness

Wandering for Wellness Travel , Lifestyle & Wellness Writer| Body Positivity blogger| Wellness isn’t just about having a fit body, 6 pack abs or fitting in.

It’s more about feeling well, feeling healthy, waking up fresh and accepting your body for what it really is despite your love handles, cellulite and fine lines and who you really are.. I’ve learnt that its very important to enjoy the finer things in life. No one wants to live a life of deprivation and starvation. The way we see it, wellness is a journey you embark on one day at a time. You should allow yourself that glass of wine on the weekend and a few squares of dark chocolate and truly savour it without feeling guilty about it. We wanted to incorporate all the different facets of wellness- emotional, physical, spiritual and find holistic solutions to achieving peace, balance and finding joy in everyday things.

Dilli tings 🌹🪬
I was talking to a friend the other day about how important it is to document the moments that make us feel something. Joy, intrigue, wonder, mystery, awe… and also the looming fear and apprehension of the times we’re living in. There is room for all of it, but not for despondency.

When we notice something beautiful in someone, we should say it. When we see someone doing something different, we should celebrate them. You’re encouraged to notice the beauty in others. There is enough sun, and enough room, for everyone to shine ✨🌻🌼

Also, it’s still park season and we should make the most of this weather by spending time outdoors, soaking it in, and touching grass whenever we get a moment ☺️🌿🌼🌀
Happy Lunar New Year 🌼 sending love🤍

There are so many conversations we have out loud. Career plans. Milestones. Travel. What we’re building, doing, and more of what we’re proud of

And then there are the quieter realities most of us move through that rarely make it into everyday conversation. Not for want for trying but because we don’t feel comfortable letting people in with respect to our darkest days 🥺🫂🥺

The strange bleh feeling that can appear even when life looks full from the outside.
The quiet health things people are navigating privately.
The slow grief of seasons ending without ceremony.
The exhaustion of caring deeply about the world while also trying to make sense of a world that keeps spinning no matter what.

Over time I’ve realised that almost everyone is carrying something invisible 🫂Someone you know is probably learning how to live with a body that feels different from before. Someone else is trying to rebuild their energy after burnout. Someone else is quietly figuring out who they are outside of roles they once thought would define them forever.

And many of us are simply learning how to live at a gentler pace in a world that keeps insisting we move faster.

Maybe that’s why spaces that allow us to soften feel so important. The kinds of conversations where people don’t have to perform or pretend they have everything figured out. The friendships where silence is comfortable and sometimes even encouraged

Anyway, these are just a few things I find myself thinking about lately. The quieter parts of life that don’t always get spoken about but are probably more universal than we realise.

If any of this resonated with you, save it for later or send it to someone who might need a reminder that they’re not the only one navigating the in-between seasons. Sending you a giant hug 🫂 🫶💌

[Gentle reminders. Quiet reflections, thoughtful life, things people don’t talk about, things I’m learning, finding stillness]

More languorous afternoons.
More whimsy.
More unstructured hangs
More lingering over breakfast and dinner.
More conversations that stretch long past when they’re meant to end.

More compliments given freely and meant wholeheartedly.
More awe. Noticing everything.Honing in on the details.
Sitting with our grandparents, if we have the chance. More touching grass.
More moments where the sky suddenly stops you in your tracks. Belly laughs. Long phone calls.

Felt all kinds of things and then I went through my photos only to be reminded that we need more of this 💗🧿👧 Hope to document more often. Sending y’all love

The news cycle has felt dystopic again and the world feels like a dumpster fire. It’s near impossible to carry on like business as usual because people are hurting everywhere ❤️‍🩹A constant stream of news, images and stories can make it feel like we are witnessing more suffering than any one person is meant to hold😭

For people who feel things deeply, this can lead to a strange tension. On one hand, we want to stay informed and aware of injustice. On the other, the emotional weight of it all can feel way too overwhelming and even crippling.

Over time I’ve realised that caring about the world and protecting our nervous systems do not have to be opposing ideas.

Listening carefully to people whose lives are directly affected.Learning about the history behind what we’re seeing.Supporting mutual aid and grassroots efforts.
Speaking up when cruelty shows up in everyday spaces.Having difficult conversations with people we care about.

Sometimes it also means stepping outside, taking a breath and remembering that the nervous system needs moments of safety in order to stay open.

Without those moments, it becomes very easy to shut down completely.

Apathy can feel like protection when things are overwhelming. But the world will never change when people stop caring.

The challenge is finding ways to stay compassionate through this even if it feels imperfect and messy.

Stay curious.
Stay connected to community.

And remember that even small acts of care can ripple further than we realise🫶🌏❤️‍🩹

Lately I’ve been thinking about how complicated wellness has become. Or rather how complicated we’ve made it. Too much monitoring, way too many rules and so much to keep track of.

And yet, most bodies respond best to very simple signals.

Light in the morning.
Food at regular times.
Movement that feels natural.
Evenings that slow down instead of speed up.

These aren’t trends.
They’re reminders.

I’m not anti-supplement or anti-optimisation. Sometimes those tools really help.

But whenever things start feeling overwhelming, I come back to what the body already recognises.

Rhythm.
Consistency.
Enough rest.
Enough nourishment.

Health doesn’t have to feel intense to be effective.
Often, it’s built quietly, through small things repeated over time.

If life feels busy or noisy right now, let this be permission to keep it simple.

Save this for days when “doing more” doesn’t feel right.
