Keeping in mind that none of the meals goes low on nutrition. A meal low in necessary nutrition is a meal gone waste which is not advisable at the growing age. Because children in this are extra active and need lot of energy.
Feed them proper wholesome meal comprising of all nutrients. Depending on the timing you can rely on milk + nuts/ wholesome breakfast like idli- chutney, dosas, poha/ upma/ paratha/ roti sabzi, etc. You can add groundnut or pulses to poha & upma.
In tiffin as far as possible, give the food which is easier for child to eat and yet nutritious. May be a roti role with ghee n jaggery stuffing, nuts and dried fruits, ladoo or Chikki, idli cubes, sandwich etc. Also, keep a watch on quantity you fill the tiffin. It should not be too much for the child to eat in limited time. Check the time required for child to eat and pack tiffin accordingly as more than required may lead to wastage of food or child might not chew properly just gulp it down leading to indigestion.
Manage other meals wisely. Include fruits, vegetables, salads, sprouted pulses, paneer, egg, milk and milk products, cereals and millets, nuts and dried fruits in the meals. Atleast 1 fruit a day.
Check water and fluid intake . You can add soups as one serving. Avoid fruit juices, instead prefer whole fruits they will provide more nutrition as well as fibres.
Squeeze lemon in meals and also add herbs and spices like ginger, garlic, turmeric, Cummins, corriander, cardamon, cinnamon etc. while cooking.
