On World Diabetes Day, let’s spotlight a critical yet overlooked pillar of diabetes management: Sleep.
While diet, exercise, and medication get the attention they deserve, sleep often takes a back seat. Poor sleep quality or inconsistent sleep can raise blood sugar, undermine insulin sensitivity, and increase the risk of diabetes complications—even when everything else is managed well.
