The NCORD meeting for the month of October 2025 was held at the DC Office Conference Hall under South Salmara Mankachar District.

The session was attended by the ADC, In-charge Joint Director of Health Services, Superintendent of District Hospital, Hatsingimari, District Nodal Officer NTCP, District Community Mobilizer, and officials from various line departments to strengthen coordination in combating drug-related concerns in the district.

A meeting cm orientation on the Expanded Package of Services under Ayushman Arogya Mandir was held today at the Conference Hall of JT. DHS office, Hatsingimari, in the presence of the DCM and DPC. During the session, the new ASHA incentive Master Claim Form was also distributed to support smooth implementation and service delivery across the district.

To***co-Free Zone Initiative | Jhowdanga Cluster

As part of the National To***co Control Programme (NTCP), an Awareness-cum-Enforcement Drive was carried out today at the Jhowdanga Cluster under the leadership of the District Nodal Officer (NTCP), accompanied by the Sector Medical Officer and police personnel of South Salmara Mankachar District.

The drive emphasized the strict enforcement of the COTPA Act, 2003 (Ci******es and Other To***co Products Act), with special focus on violations around educational institutions. A total of nine schools were covered under this initiative, ensuring close vigilance and immediate corrective action.

During the enforcement, several unauthorized shops found selling to***co products within the prohibited 100-yard radius of school premises were penalized, and fines were imposed in accordance with legal provisions.

Alongside enforcement, awareness sessions were also conducted to sensitize shopkeepers, students, and the general public on the ill effects of to***co consumption and the collective responsibility of creating a safe, healthy, and to***co-free environment for children.

An Intensified IEC Campaign on HIV/AIDS was carried out through extensive village and door-to-door awareness drives across South Salmara Mankachar District.
The campaign was implemented by 12 dedicated field teams from Fulkumari Bapuji Club, a Targeted Intervention (TI) NGO, in collaboration with the District Health Department. The initiative aimed to promote awareness on HIV prevention, testing, and stigma reduction at the grassroots level.

Awareness activities and interpersonal communication sessions were organized at:
Salmara BPHC (GP-South Salmara), Sarkarergram, Salmara Pt-1, Beparipara, South Salmara pt II, Balapara, Solairtegh & Khodaidila.

Community members were encouraged to get tested for HIV to know their status and to eliminate stigma and misconceptions surrounding HIV and AIDS.

These collective efforts form part of the district’s continuous mission to ensure community awareness, early detection, and a stigma-free society.

Noyarpara, Bhimapara, Fulercher, Fulerchar Charali, Bhimapara pt 1.

Community members were encouraged to get tested for HIV to know their status and to eliminate stigma and misconceptions surrounding HIV and AIDS.

School-level Intensified IEC Campaign on HIV/AIDS was successfully conducted at Hatsingimari Jr. College, Gyan Vikash Academy & Infinity Academy under South Salmara Mankachar District.

The session aimed to create greater awareness among students about HIV prevention, stigma reduction, and the importance of early testing and counseling. The program witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, making it an engaging and informative initiative.

The event was attended by the District Nodal Officer (Mental Health), Counselor, and officials from the ICTC Centre, who interacted with the students and shared valuable insights on mental well-being, safe practices, and community responsibility.

To***co-Free Zone Initiative | pathoria and jhalorchar Cluster.

TFYC 3-0 Under the National To***co Control Programme , an Awareness-cum-Enforcement Drive was conducted today at the pathoria and jhalorchar Cluster, led by the District Nodal Officer (DNO), NTCP, Sector MO, DLSA,Police Personals of South Salmara Mankachar District.

An Intensified IEC Campaign on HIV/AIDS was carried out through extensive village and door-to-door awareness drives across South Salmara Mankachar District.

The campaign was implemented by 12 dedicated field teams from Fulkumari Bapuji Club, a Targeted Intervention (TI) NGO, in collaboration with the District Health Department. The initiative aimed to promote awareness on HIV prevention, testing, and stigma reduction at the grassroots level.

Awareness activities and interpersonal communication sessions were organized at:

Jhawdanga HS School, Jhawdanga Hospital, Sealpara, Middle Jhawdanga, Kuchnimara, Aratgaon, Aratgaon Chariali, Dharakoba, Mirkamari, and Okrabari.

Community members were encouraged to get tested for HIV to know their status and to eliminate stigma and misconceptions surrounding HIV and AIDS.

Considering the presence of Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) in these areas, special emphasis was given to the importance of safe injecting practices and harm reduction.

These collective efforts form part of the district’s continuous mission to ensure community awareness, early detection, and a stigma-free society.

The campaign was conducted by 13 dedicated field teams of Fulkumari Bapuji Club, a Targeted Intervention (TI) NGO, in collaboration with the District Health Department. The initiative aimed to spread awareness on HIV prevention, testing, and stigma reduction at the grassroots level.

Awareness activities and interpersonal communication sessions were held in:
Bhimapara A, Bhimapara B, Manullapara Model Anganwadi Centre, Chamtihsra, Chotobozra, Hazirhat, Borbila, Gotabari Pt-II, Fulerchar, Joldubha, Gotabari, Baliyabil, North Santipur, Joldhuba Pt-I, and Baghapara.

Together, these efforts are part of the district’s ongoing mission to ensure community awareness, early testing, and a stigma-free society.
