🦷 BAD oral health CAN AFFECT YOUR WHOLE BODY

Hidden dental problems like:
• Gum infections
• Periodontal disease
• faulty rcts and crowns
may not always pain —
but they continuously release infection and inflammatory cells into your blood.

🔥 WHAT HAPPENS INSIDE YOUR BODY?

These inflammatory cells travel through the bloodstream and can:
• Stress your immune system
• Increase body inflammation
• Damage blood vessels
• Affect organs over time

🫀🧠🩸 ORGANS THAT CAN BE AFFECTED

Chronic dental infection is linked to:
• Heart problems
• Diabetes imbalance
• Joint and bone issues
• Low immunity
• Brain and memory problems
• Faster aging

⚠️ WHY IT IS DANGEROUS

Because it is:
• Silent
• Slow
• Continuous

You may feel fine —
but your body is fighting inflammation every day.

✅ THE SIMPLE TRUTH

Treating dental infection is not cosmetic.
It is preventive medicine.

A healthy mouth protects your whole body.

🦷 Sheffield Passive Test

Purpose:
To verify passive fit of the implant positions immediately after making the impression — using the verification jig before the prosthesis is fabricated.

🔍 Why We Do It at This Stage

Even a tiny positional error during impression can lead to:
• Misfit of final prosthesis
• Screw loosening
• Marginal bone strain
• Framework tension → long-term failures

So we check passivity early, not just at delivery.

🛠️ How to Perform the Sheffield Test (with Jig)

1️⃣ Seat the Intraoral Verification Jig
• Ensure it contacts all implants/MUAs simultaneously

2️⃣ Insert ONE screw only
• Preferably in the most distal or most stable implant
• Tighten finger tight only

3️⃣ Observe the Other Implant Interfaces
Check for:
• Rocking when pressing lightly
• Lift-off around any implant head
• Tissue blanching due to vertical misfit

4️⃣ Repeat on each implant
• Move the single screw to the other implant positions
• Each time → look for complete passive seating

✔️ Pass Criteria
• Jig remains fully seated
• No movement while applying gentle pressure
• No gap at implant interface

❌ Fail Indicators
• Any visible lift, rocking, or adjustment when screw location changes
→ impression may not be accurate

If It Fails — What Next?
• Section the jig and re-lute intraorally
• Redo impression / scan if error persists

After experimenting with various rubberdam thickness and colours ..

My final Final Choice: Thick and Blue

After considering the pros and cons, I chose a thick, blue rubber dam for the following reasons:

1. Durability: The thick rubber dam is highly resistant to tearing, ensuring it remains intact throughout the procedure. This is crucial for maintaining a sterile field and reducing the risk of contamination.
2. Visibility: The blue color provides excellent contrast against the natural color of teeth, enhancing visibility. This makes it easier to see the working area, reducing eye strain and allowing for more precise work.
3. Efficiency: Despite being less flexible, the thick rubber dam’s durability outweighs the initial application challenge. It stays in place better and withstands the demands of complex procedures.retracts the soft tissue effectively

By opting for a thick, blue rubber dam, I ensure a more efficient, effective, and comfortable experience for both myself and my patients. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Calinpop and Dr. Celine Higtone for their invaluable guidance in teaching me about the use of rubber dams. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping me improve my dental practice.

🦷 **Preserving Pulp Vitality: Your Tooth’s Lifeline!** 🦷
our goal is to save the natural structure and health of your teeth. Preserving the pulp—the soft tissue inside your tooth that contains nerves and blood vessels—is crucial for maintaining tooth vitality. Here’s why it’s important:

1. **Natural Defense Mechanism:** A vital pulp helps defend against infection and decay.

2.. **Strength and Function:** Vital teeth are stronger and better at withstanding daily wear and tear.
3. **Longevity:** Preserving the pulp extends the lifespan of your natural tooth.

Remember, proactive dental care can keep your smile healthy and radiant! Visit your dentist regularly and at early sign and symptoms like sensitivity and food lodgement, and maintain good oral hygiene.

“Thrilled to share the incredible experience of organizing the 5th Telangana State Indian Prosthodontic Society Annual Conference as the Scientific Chairman! 🌟 The overwhelming response to our live demonstrations on bonding protocols for metal-free restorations was truly inspiring. 🙌 Thank you to all who participated and made this event a resounding success. It was heartwarming to reconnect with old friends and see former students now thriving as colleagues. Here’s to advancing our field together! 🦷✨ ”

Silane presents Solanki group(-OH) that can react (condensation reaction ) by branching molecules with each other & with hydroxyl (-OH) groups of the HF etched Lisi surface .
Silane solution contain high volume of solvents inadequate sealing leaving the bottle to high temperatures allow rapid evaporation of solvents and affect the efficiency of the silane.
Apply a single layer of silane avoid applying excess, short application time 20-40 sec followed by air drying and heat drying is recommended.

9.6% of hydrofloric acid is usually supplied by pulses and 9% HF by ultradent and are usually in yellow color and 5 % Hf by Ivoclar and is in red color … when we look at the etch pattern of lithium disilicate with 20 sec of 5%,9%,9.6% acid, it look same n bond strength is same. If we etch more than required time >20 sec leads to removes more glass phase and more crystal are exposed and crystals won’t anchor into the glass matrix … *”5 % HF for 20sec revealed significantly higher bond strength than 9 or 9.6% “
After HF etching rinse with water the surface should look like dull and sometime we see Chalky white powder on surface . These remnants and precipitated salts need to be removed to improve bond . There are few methods available to remove them 👉Keep it in ultrasonic bath in alcohol or distilled water , or 👉etch with 37% phosphoric acid for 30 sec or we can use both etch n ultrasonic cleaning …
