The outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent quarantine has brought with it an unpredictable time for us all. While a lot of us are struggling to work from home, balance daily chores, and also keep a steady supply of groceries, our health has taken a back seat. This period of social isolation is actually a great time to kickstart that we’ve all been planning to adopt but have never come around to actually doing it.
Although basic workout regimes can be easily done at home, it’s the diet that’s the trickiest to maintain. If consumed too many wrong foods, can go on a detox day the next day.
- Consume high fiber fruits in the first half of the day, vegetable juices and salads – no dressings
- Dry fruits in the second half of the day.
- Ensure a minimum of 3 times protein in the day. This would help in overindulgence of carbohydrates
- Ensure one-hour workout, hit the gym possible or download a fitness app that can help in workout regularly.
