From 20th June to 30th June 2017, Samhithaa Trust has conducted a ten day “JNANA YOGA” workshop for the protection, encouragement and propagation of this ancient rich wisdom. This ten day workshop being conducted for the first time at Baginakatta Uttarakannada district, Yellapur Taluk, is aimed at giving practical guidance of Indian Vedic scriptures to approx. 40 rural candidates from in and around Baginakatta. This workshop has dealed with the practical aspects of Yoga, Meditation, Sanskrit and philosophy. Apart from the above, the workshop would also created a platform for scholars to engage in debates and deliver philosophical expositions. Through this workshop, the organization aims to realize its goal of preventing the day by day deterioration of Indian culture and thus protecting our cultural heritage.

Samhithaa Trust has conducted 10days JNANAYOGA workshop at the Baginakatta Village from 20th to 30th June 2017. In this workshop villagers have taken part enthusiastically. For three years Samhithaa Trust is conducting different programs to improve the village. We are glad to share that villagers are so supportive and kind. In the workshop villagers have studied Yoga, Vedic Chanting, Meditation, Pranayama, Basic Philosophy and Science behind Indian Culture. The trust has provided T-Shirt, study material and Ect to the participants. Trust has vision to conduct many programs to evaluate the village. We thank all the participants and supporters.

Rishis, for the welfare of the world, performed great sacrifices and recorded their experiences in the form of Sastras or sciences. One among them was the science of yoga or yoga Sastra. One which shows the right path and induces one to perform right actions is called Yoga. When water flows in a single unobstructed path gains great strength and loses it when it is diverted into many paths. Similarly, when mind is concentrated on a single object it is capable of great achievements; if it is diverted on many objects, it is unable to achieve its goals. This one pointedness of the mind can only be obtained through the process of yoga. The steadiness of the mind, enthusiasm, physical strength, good health, right knowledge, sharp memory, beauty and happiness can be obtained by practicing yoga. About Samhithaa Trust

The invaluable knowledge and wisdom enshrined in our rich cultural heritage is the foundation for India's illumination and brightness. The nectar of this great knowledge is embedded in the sanctum sanctorum of the mother goddess of Sanskrit. Sanskrit is the root of Indian cultural heritage. Scientific research followed by Communication and propagation of concepts in the field of philosophical, scriptural, cultural and spiritual wisdom are absolutely essential for our nation's cultural enrichment. With this mission and vision, Samhithaa organization has been founded. Samhithaa organization is Located in the naturally resounding village of Baginakatta which is at a distance of 22Km from Yellapur taluk situated in the district headquarters of Karwar. Surrounded by lush greenery and flushing meadows, the village is a veritable resort of enchanting streams, gorgeous valleys and mountainous tracts. Although the region may be lacking in urbanized development, but it is blessed with resources for spiritual practices and upliftment. For example 24 members of Norway organization called "Back In The Ring" who had got caught in the web of addiction, came out through rehabilitation and got their life rejuvenated by undergoing Yoga and spiritual practices in this village. Apart from getting rehabilitated, the foreigners also paid tributes to the villagers by participating in the renovation of the Local Ganapati temple. Similarly, with a view of protecting our culture, the organization Samhithaa has been conducting many events. By conducting International Yoga conferences, Samhithaa has been successful in creating philosophical, scriptural, cultural and spiritual awareness internationally among people. Apart from these, to expand the philosophical, scriptural, cultural Yogic and spiritual wisdom of India, Samhithaa organization is planning to start Scientific research and academic activities following the age old system of Gurukula education. With this vision Samhithaa organization has taken leading step in the development of Sanskrit and Indian philosophical wisdom. The vision of Samhithaa also envisages creation of employment opportunities for eminent scholars of Sanskrit. A platform is being created for an application oriented practical and scientific study of subjects like Vedas, Vedic science, Philosophy, Spirituality, Yoga and Meditation. Hence our mission is to build a Philosophical city by bringing the study of entire ancient Indian wisdom under one single roof. Moving in this path, all the villagers of Baginakatta have pledged their support towards realizing this mission. Already the villagers are studying Bhagavad Gita in order to establish their village as a GITA GRAMA. The villagers have expressed that they want to make their lives meaningful by the study and practical implementation of the principles of Bhagavad Gita in daily life.

Samithaa, has laid down the above stated vision, in the action plan as below:

1. We have an ambition towards building a philosophical "city" in the lap of nature within a time span of five years and to establish Indian Culture and Sanskrit throughout the world.

2. Samhithaa has a further ambition to establish a common shelter for scientific research on Indian wisdom and teaching Vedas, Indian Philosophy and Ideologies. From this immense task, we want to create employment for people who are experts in Sanskrit and Yoga and also fulfill the public need for a common place to study this wisdom.

3. We are planning to initiate various activities towards revival of ancient literature which are in palm-leaf manuscript form with the help of scholars.

4. Children are the gems of our future. Samhithaa Trust wants to enlighten children by conducting summer camps which include yoga, meditation and some fun activities.

5. The Trust intends to initiate a “Karma yoga” program, in which people will work selflessly with others for the greater good and our country's progress.
