ينتج مرض فقر الدم المنجلي عن طفرة في جين HBB، تؤدي إلى تحوّل شكل خلايا الدم الحمراء من دائري إلى منجلي، وهو ما يُفسّر تسمية المرض.

وتقدّم مختبرات “فيافيت” فحوصات دقيقة لتشخيص المرض والكشف عن حامليه، مما يجعل خدماتها من بين الأبرز والأكثر تميّزًا في المنطقة.

Mutation in one specific HBB gene location cause sickle cell disease, serious condition affecting red blood cells and changing them from round to sickle shape where the name is coming from.
