I have a new block of Pilates and Breathwork classes starting this week in Bantry and Durrus 🌿

There are a few new classes added, including:

Men’s Pilates
Pregnancy Pilates
Chair Pilates

Pilates is great for:

improving posture and core strength
increasing mobility and flexibility
supporting back health and joint stability
building strength in a low-impact, mindful way

Each class also finishes with a few minutes of gentle breathwork to help calm the nervous system and leave you feeling more relaxed.

Classes are available as a 4-week block (€55) or €15 drop-in.

It’s been so fun using a Pilates ball recently in classes, I’ve decided to start a series for fun!

Using a small@ball really helps you engage your muscles more deeply, and maybe even use new ones as well. It can be used for modifications or for a little extra challenge 😉

This quick core sequence is all about building strength, stability and control. It’s not too long so you can squeeze it into a busy schedule, or add it to your workout.

Hopefully it will have you feeling stronger and maybe a little burn in the belly too (I know I did! 😆)

This time of year can stir up a lot of extra stress and anxiety, and it’s so easy to forget that your breath is always there to bring you back to a state of calm. Having a few simple breathing techniques in your back pocket can make such a difference — especially in those moments when anxiety kicks in and your in panic mode.

Some gentle ones to try are:
• Box breathing
• 4–7–8 breathing
• Coherent breathing
• Mindful, slow nasal breathing

You can do these anywhere — before sleep, sitting in the car, or any quiet moment you can find for yourself. I’ve put together a list of beginner-friendly breathwork techniques you can explore over the holidays if you’re feeling tense, overwhelmed, or just need a reset.

If you have any questions or if there’s another breathing technique you love, I’d really love to hear it. Your breath is always here to support you.
