It’s been a whirlwind season for us since selling Navika a year and a half ago! We’ve been on the move a lot, living in different places, each offering something unique and wonderful.
We realised what we’ve essentially been doing is replicating our boat life mode on land, living in one place then upping and travelling to the next. It’s an unstable and sometimes tiring way to life but it’s also so familiar to us and so rich! 🤷♀️
With both of us working remotely it’s been an option for us so we’re just riding that wave, enjoying all it has to offer.
We honestly didn’t have a plan for what would come next for us when selling Navika, we just had a vague sense that was time for a change and that if we wanted to continue our adventures, we’d want to do it on something bigger and more comfortable, that would also allow us to host more people onboard. Shout out to everyone who came for a visit on Navika, packed in like sardines - those were the days! 🐟😅
A break from boat life has been bittersweet. Living on the water is so rich, boat life is incredible but it can also take its toll. So even if we couldn’t fully see it at the time, we both probably needed a reset.
Since then, we’ve tried on quite a few different ways of living, had the space to turn our energy towards other projects, found a more sustainable set up for ourselves and learnt a lot more about what’s important to us and what we want to build next. ✨
One thing that’s stuck with us throughout is how much we both love being on the water. Sometimes it takes walking away from something to remember just how much it means to you. Whatever our life configuration looks like is still unclear, but what we do know is that we’ll always try and make space for the water in some way. 🌊
I’m excited to see what that might look like for us, as we start to welcome in boat number 3 hopefully one day, and in the meantime continue to enjoy the special moments we get to create on the water.
