Looking back through the archives. It was March 2023 when we threw a gorgeous intimate wedding for Erin and Rocco in Puglia.

Mimosa symbolises femininity, strength and resilience; characteristics of all our brides and the women we know in this incredible industry. And of course our team, who power Wiskow and White so calmly and confidently.

I was so happy to gift mimosa to all of the wonderful women at our coffee morning this week. Women are the foundation of the wedding industry.

Layout. Logistics. Guest accommodation. Travel routes. Service flow. Spatial dynamics. Operational feasibility.

From where guests will stay to how they will move and everything in between. Nothing is left to assumption.

Before any contracts are signed, we present a comprehensive budget forecast. No guesswork. No surprises.

I’m off to Milan and Turin next week. Packed agenda as ever.

Trips like this are a core part of how we work at Wiskow & White - not just to see venues, but to truly understand them.

I’ll be spending time with trusted vendors, hosting our La Lista coffee morning in Milan. My local, deep connections are what give our couples unique access to places and people, Italy wide.

I’ll also be visiting a small number of hand-picked venues, walking every corner of each villa, understanding how they feel at different times of day, meeting the teams behind them, and experiencing tastings firsthand. We don’t book anywhere we haven’t properly interrogated - from logistics to atmosphere. Balancing both is often overlooked.

And in between, I’ll be exploring the cities again. I always want to go deeper, as my Italian develops I can access the true rhythm, the details, the nuances that don’t show up in photos, but matter enormously when you’re planning a meaningful experience for your guests.

This is the part of our work I care so deeply about: doing the groundwork, asking all the right questions, discovering hidden beauty and bringing 100% clarity and confidence to my couples.

I cry at the ceremony vows, I adore the table reveal, but the speeches have fast become my favourite part of wedding. I pull up a chair and a cuppa and listen in from a distance.

In this moment, this gorgeous couple, who I have had the absolute honour of sneaking in to their lives for a year or so become part of a wider, loving context. I adore them and in this moment I see the love, energy and characters that have shaped them and surround them. Enjoying this moment thanks to an incredibly hard working team of creatives - all giving their best.

It’s truly humanity at its best!

In our turbulent world, weddings are bubbles of pure love and energy. They are sacred, fleeting and some of the most important moment of our lives. This group will likely never be together again. What a special thing to witness.

To all the speech givers this year, bravi! Thank you for the laughter and the tears.
