Today I wrapped up a couple's session, they had connected with me in an attempt to separate peacefully.

Moving on isn't easy when you're both comfortable with each other and have so much history together. However, one has to make a choice, and respect their individual journey.

They knew it was time for both of them to let go of each other. It is rare to see couples working on separation gracefully.

Grateful, I could help in the process.

Is it in your control??

There are so many things that happen and are happening all the time. Some of them you might like, love, enjoy and for some of them you just wish that it dint happen or you could have done things differently at that time. A lot of times we become sad thinking about the past.

Once I did this in the session with one of my clients, we took a paper and we both started writing things and situations that makes us unhappy about the past and took a moment to look at it and accept that we can not go back and change it. Can we?

No, we can not go back and change anything nevertheless, we can learn from it. Therefore, we continued to write what did we learn from our past experiences. We realised that we were upset about things that were not in our control however, things we did then were based on our best knowledge and experience and we did everything that was in our control.

So we both took charge of what was in our control blurred out what was not in our control and continued to learn :)

Universal Mental Health First Aid- A structured program of providing right information about mental health. Train yourself to identify the signs of various mental health issues, learn to implement the helping techniques and be a Life-line for someone.

Universal Mental Health Aid (UMHFA) certificate course provides training in utilization of UMHFA model.

This specified course trains you to understand perspectives on
trauma that are beyond physical. It also prepares you to deliver
mental health first aid tools with your
children / parents / colleagues in time of emergency or crisis.

Example where you can UMHFA:
Prevention and dealing with aftershocks of Su***de, Accidents,Traumatic Events, Loss, Domestic Violence, Homicide,Natural Disaster, Depression.

Learn to identify the common signs and symptoms of various mental health issues.

Learn to implement basic tools to provide guidance to people in need

Be a Life-Line Be a First Aider

Course begins:
1st August 11am to 12:30pm (4 Sundays) followed by an assignment.
