My latest Yin Yoga Music Workshop - to be held at Strive Health Club on the evening of Friday 13 September (6.00 to 7.45pm) - is filling up nicely BUT it's not too late to join us.

If you like the idea of a Chill-Out Friday Evening Yin class with some great tunes to enhance your practice, do get in touch. Even if you can't make it this time, it's worth making contact to be put on the mailing list for future events.

I've been struck by the number of beautifully adorned Christmas trees around Jersey this year. I think this one is my favourite (but can you guess where it is?).

My latest Yin Yoga Day at The Radisson is almost upon us - five yin yoga classes spread from mid-morning to mid-evening on Sunday 20 October. Classes to suit all experience levels, from beginners to dedicated Yinsters; classes to suit all tastes, for those who like quiet introspection as well as those who prefer a strong music accompaniment to their practice.

Thanks to the 25 dedicated Yin Yogis who came along to The Radisson Hotel on the Jersey Waterfront last night for over two hours of yummy Yin to an all-American musical soundtrack, to celebrate Fourth of July Independence Day. Special thanks to those who got into the party spirit, wearing something with a USA connection. (I wasn't expecting to see the Statue of Liberty!). Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!

I'd be interested to hear from other yoga teachers in Jersey about the difficulties we face in trying to make a living from teaching yoga. The challenges cited in the article below about the UK situation seem to me to be equally applicable (if not more so) to teaching on our little Island. Any perspective offered would be welcome, either by replying to this message or via email to theyinsterjersey@gmail.com. Namaste

According to the results from our sustainability of teaching yoga as a profession, over 61% of respondents claimed that they struggle to find enough students. 85% of respondents have trouble finding affordable rental spaces.

As someone about to face the challenges of decluttering my home of stuff accumulated over the last (gulp) almost forty-odd years, this is a really useful article. If you face similar struggles from time to time, it's worth a read! - might even get you started on the decluttering! :-)
