Not here to preach - no lecturing, no finger-wagging, no yoga-throne speeches 👸🧘‍♀️😁

1️⃣ The Big Fat Rule:
Do. Not. Step. On. Anyone’s. Mat. Ever. And never with shoes (even your own). A mat is someone’s sacred little island - their cheeks, hands, sweat, energy, and sometimes their whole emotional unraveling land there. Walking on it is basically stepping on their dinner plate. Just… no. ⛔️🙅‍♀️
✨ Arriving late?
Totally happens. If you slip in during a quiet, yin moment, enter like a cat tiptoeing on clouds, not like you’re dragging a kayak across gravel 📢💥Soft, gentle, almost invisible.
✨ And since we covered late… let’s talk early ⏰10 minutes before class = perfect.
If you’re more than 20 minutes early, it helps to give the teacher a little space - that’s when the room is being set up, energy grounded, candles lit, props arranged, playlists finalised, and thoughts gathered to hold space 😌If you’re more than 20 minutes early, wait just outside or somewhere comfy, it makes the whole class flow better for everyone.
✨ Metal water bottles:
Hydration is queen, but those bottles have one mission: to crash loudly at the peak of Savasana 😱😭📣💥
✨ Feeling unwell? 🤧😷
Please rest, heal, stay home. Yoga = shared breath. If you’re coughing or sniffling, your body is already asking for rest.
✨ And finally, very close to my heart. People come to yoga for different reasons.Some to disconnect, detach, go quiet. Some come to connect and have a bit of social time. Both are beautiful. Just be mindful of anyone already lying down or sitting quietly, you never know what kind of day they’re landing from 💔😩A little awareness goes a long way.

Candlelight Yin at ✨🧘‍♀️🕯️
Tonight’s class was one of those quiet-magic evenings that just stays with you. I was so afraid that the Jersey Christmas light switch-on outside would be an obstacle but the outside hum just blended with our relaxing playlist …

We moved slowly, gently, in the soft flicker of candlelight, tiny movements at first, just enough to guide everyone into that sacred space of stillness. Then we melted into nourishing Yin postures with bolsters wrapped around us like a hug, helping the body soften… helping the mind soften even more.

There was this moment, the whole room completely calm, breaths steady, thoughts settling, when everything felt suspended in the sweetest quiet. And honestly, my heart melted hearing the beautiful words shared at the end of class. The kindness, the gratitude… it touched me more than you know ❤️🙏

Everyone drifted out into the evening ready for their hot baths, hot chocolates, and all the cosy rituals that keep the vibe going. What a dreamy way to end the day 😌

Every time my back goes, I have to stop everything and listen. Because the body does not whisper anymore… it shouts: “STOP. Breathe. Take care of YOU first!”

I see you. Pushing through the pain. Telling yourself you will rest after this project, after the kids are in bed, after the house is clean, after work calms down. Sitting for hours at your desk, gripping the steering wheel in traffic, collapsing into bed only to wake up even stiffer.

What nobody tells you is your lower back is where you store everything you cannot carry anymore. The stress you smile through. The fear you do not talk about. The exhaustion you have normalised. The “I’m fine” when you are absolutely not fine.

In yoga, this area is home to the Root Chakra (Muladhara) - our energetic foundation. When it is out of balance, everything feels shaky. You might feel anxious, ungrounded, financially stressed, or like you are barely holding it together. Because you cannot build a peaceful life on foundations that are crumbling.

This Friday evening, we are going to rebuild that foundation. We will ease into supported forward folds, melt through grounding Child’s pose, rest in Reclined Twist - each posture held long enough for your body to remember what it feels like to be supported instead of supporting everything else.

Come as you are - tired, tight, skeptical, desperate, or just curious. Every body, every spine, every story is welcome. You will leave feeling lighter. Like maybe, just maybe, you can stop carrying the world for an hour ❤️

You are not a project!
You are not something to work on, fix, or upgrade.
You are not meant to be in constant self-improvement mode.
Some days feel messy.
Some days are tender.
Some days your heart feels like it’s carrying too much.
And none of this means you are failing.

It means you are alive.

We spend so much of our lives trying to hold it together, to perform calmness, hold it in, keep going, stay strong.But what if strength is something softer?
What if strength is saying: “This is where I am today. And I am allowed to be here.”

This is the medicine of yoga. Not to change you, but to let you meet yourself with honesty and gentleness.
Come move, soften, breathe and come home to yourself. Exactly as you are. No pressure. No mask. No fixing. Just you ❤️

You know those soft, dreamy days between Christmas and New Year when time feels blurred… the body feels slow and heavy from resting and festive meals… and the mind feels a little scattered from family, films, and holiday rhythms? This session is created exactly for that moment!

🔋We begin with gentle activation to wake the body from its festive slumber, encouraging circulation and bringing warmth back into the tissues.�🔋Then we soften tension with fascia release, helping the body reawaken after days of sitting, eating, and slowing down.�🔋 From there, we drop into warm, supported stretches, grounding breathwork, and restorative stillness to settle deeply back into ourselves.

A full reset for body, mind, and nervous system. A clearing. A soft return to self.�

Little moments lately… yoga mats and golden leaves, meals stirred slowly, soft paws kneading blankets, and thoughts of the tiny new soul I’ll be holding soon (my own little grandson!❤️). None of it matches, and yet it all fits, all threads of the same heart. As the days grow shorter, I’m learning to soften with them… to notice, to savor, to belong to my own life a bit more🍂🫶✨
