That stubborn "knot" you feel in your neck, shoulder, or back isn’t always just a tight muscle, it’s often a trigger point. These trigger points can not only refer pain to other areas, but also cause tenderness & movement dysfunction.

They’re common in people who:
🖥️ Sit for long hours
💪 Overuse certain muscles
😴 Carry stress in their body

The good news? Trigger points can be treated & even prevented with proper movement, posture & stress awareness, and targeted physiotherapy techniques.

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💕

Let’s take a moment to honor the fighters, survivors, and those we’ve lost, and to remind ourselves and our loved ones that early detection saves lives.

Check your breasts regularly. Schedule your mammogram. Encourage someone else to do the same.

Together, through awareness, compassion, and consistent care, we can help create a future where fewer lives are lost to breast cancer. 💗

Hurricane Melissa has passed, and as we begin restoring our homes and communities, it’s also important to care for our bodies. Many people experience back, neck, or shoulder pain after lifting, bending, and cleaning for hours. A few mindful habits can go a long way in preventing injury and easing tension.

During a hurricane, its normal to have anxiety of some kind. Nervous system grounding needs to come from inside the body, not from looking around the environment. Seeing or hearing more of the storm often increases anxiety rather than reduces it.

The most effective support is:
🌿 pressure, warmth, breath, and reassurance.

Be gentle with yourself; your body is doing its best to protect you.

This season is a testimony of faith, perseverance, and purpose. Every challenge & every prayer all helped in leading to this moment.

By God’s strength, I’ve overcome and stepped into a new chapter as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist & Doctor of Physical Therapy.

This isn’t just an achievement; it’s a calling.
