Story and Myth

Story and Myth Story and Myth Blessing Beads are an island inspired line of jewelry made with thought and intent, to bless, guide and protect the wearer.

Island inspired and designed necklaces and bracelets made from locally sourced materials, made by a small community of artisans, some of whom have a disability. Using local tear shaped seeds called Job’s tears our jewelry is hand made in Jamaica by a community of physically disabled artisans. The tear shaped bead grows on an ornamental grass and already comes with a hole and is considered mother natures perfect bead. It is an ancient seed and was one of the first items to be made into jewelry from the beginning of time. There is a story from India about the Hindu God Krishna who took the time to make a necklace for Radha his consort out of the tear shaped seeds and it is considered a necklace that represents love, victory and over coming obstacles and odds.
