医療体制強化のお知らせ
　
このたび 昭和医科大学名誉教授 髙橋浩二先生を、
もぐもぐクリニックの名誉院長（正職員）としてお迎えする運びとなりました。
　
髙橋先生は、摂食嚥下障害医療の分野において長年第一線でご活躍され、臨床・研究・教育の各領域において卓越したご業績を挙げてこられました。
とりわけ、嚥下機能評価およびリハビリテーションの体系化に大きく貢献され、本分野の発展と後進の育成において中心的な役割を担ってこられた先生です。
　
このたびの就任により、当院における嚥下診療体制は新たな段階へと進みます。
これまで培ってまいりました外来・訪問診療の基盤に加え、より高度で体系的な嚥下医療の提供と、専門性の高い医療人材の育成を一層推進してまいります。
　
また、多職種連携のさらなる強化を図り、地域における包括的かつ継続的な嚥下医療体制の構築に努めてまいります。

Notice Regarding the Strengthening of Our Medical Services
　
We are pleased to announce that we have appointed Dr. Koji Takahashi, Professor Emeritus at Showa Medical University,
as Honorary Director (full-time staff member) of Mog2 Clinic.
　
Dr. Takahashi has been active at the forefront of the field of dysphagia medicine for many years and has achieved outstanding accomplishments in the areas of clinical practice, research, and education.
In particular, he has made significant contributions to the systematization of swallowing function assessment and rehabilitation, playing a central role in the development of this field and the training of the next generation of professionals.
　
With this appointment, our clinic’s swallowing care system will advance to a new level.
Building upon the foundation of outpatient and home visit services we have cultivated to date, we will further promote the provision of more advanced and systematic swallowing care, as well as the training of highly specialized medical personnel.
　
Furthermore, we will strive to further strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and work toward establishing a comprehensive and continuous swallowing care system within the community.

Oral Frailty Study Session (Fuchu City)
　　
A “Family Caregiver Seminar” organized by the Shiraitodai Community Comprehensive Support Center was held at the Shiraitodai Cultural Center.
At this event, our clinic president, Matsumiya, delivered a lecture entitled “Dysphagia Associated with Decline in Oral Function.”
　　
The lecture addressed age- and disease-related changes in oral function and their impact on swallowing, as well as practical considerations and management strategies in daily life.
Following the lecture, numerous questions were raised, reflecting the high level of interest among participants.

嚥下造影検査食の開発 ４
　
高度な嚥下造影検査（X線TV装置を用いた嚥下機能検査：VF）を行うためには、用いるX線不透過性検査食を実際の食品に限りなく近づける必要があります。
　
現在日本人の主食は、ライフスタイルの変化により約20%が「パン食」となっています。
パンは柔らかくて食べやすいように思えますが、窒息事故の頻度が高い食品の一つです。
　
当クリニックでは2024年より食感が実際の食パンに近い、「バリウム食パン」を独自開発することで、摂食嚥下の一連の流れにおける全てのステージにおいて精度の高いVF検査を行ってまいりました。
　
今回の最新バージョンでは、造影剤として使用する硫酸バリウムの粒子特性をさらに改良しました。その結果、外観・香り・味・食感が実際の食パンと区別がつかないレベルの「改良バリウム食パン」の開発に成功し、検査食として使用を開始しています。
　
もぐもぐクリニックでは今後も、検査食の物性制御と臨床的有用性の両立を図りながら、より信頼性の高い検査法の確立を目指してまいります。
　
　
　
Development of inspection food for videofluoroscopic examination of swallowing ４
　
In order to perform high-precision VF examination, it is necessary to make the radiopaque inspection foods used as close as possible to actual meals.
　
In Japan, approximately 20% of the staple diet now consists of bread, reflecting changes in lifestyle.
Although bread is generally perceived as soft and easy to consume, it is also recognized as one of the foods frequently associated with choking incidents.
　
Since 2024, our clinic has independently developed a “Barium White Bread” with textural properties closely resembling those of standard white bread. This innovation has enabled highly accurate VF assessments across all stages of the swallowing process.
　
In this latest iteration, we have further refined the particle characteristics of barium sulfate used as the contrast agent. As a result, we have successfully developed an “Enhanced Barium White Bread” that is virtually indistinguishable from real bread in terms of appearance, aroma, taste, and texture. This improved test meal has now been introduced into clinical use.

At Mog2 Clinic, we will continue to pursue both precise control of test meal properties and clinical applicability, with the aim of establishing more reliable and clinically meaningful assessment methods.

もぐもぐクリニックは 2018年の開業より全国的にも数少ない「嚥下障害への対応に特化したクリニック」として外来診療と訪問診療の両方で地域医療に携わらせていただき、この 8年間で2,500名以上の新規受診者の診療を行ってまいりました。
　　
2025年12月までの診療実績は以下のとおりです。
　　
・嚥下内視鏡検査(VE)： 3,404件
・嚥下造影検査(VF)　： 1,327件
　　
当院は一昨年「嚥下治療の専門医療機関」への移行を完了し、現在は9名の歯科医師を中心に嚥下診療を行なっています。

Since opening in 2018, Mog2 Clinic has been involved in community healthcare as one of the few clinics in the nation specializing in the treatment of dysphagia, providing both outpatient and home visit treatment, and has treated over 2,500 new patients in the past eight years.
　　
The following are the results of the medical care through December 2025.

Sakakibara Heart Institute hosted a workshop titled “Oral Frailty” at Sakakibara Hall. Dr. Matsumiya, Director of our clinic, delivered lectures on “Swallowing Disorders Associated with the Progression of Oral Frailty,” “The Relationship Between Oral Frailty and Phase Angle,” and “The Relationship Between Oral Frailty and Heart Failure.”
　
This workshop was held for the hospital's staff and served as our clinic's final workshop for the year.

ルミエール府中コンベンションホールにて「嚥下ニューロリハビリテーションの基礎と実践」と題した院内研修会が開催されました。
　　
クリニックの全職員および入職予定者を対象とした研修会は、久しぶりの開催です。
　　
松宮理事長と青柳管理栄養士による講義の後、各種機材を用いた自習が行われ、大変有意義な研修会となりました。

この度、咽頭収縮筋（飲食物を食道に送り込む筋肉）の効率的な増強を目的とした装置を導入する運びとなりました。
喉頭挙上を目的とした訓練法は数多く提唱されてきましたが、本装置のように咽頭収縮筋の機能向上を目的としたものは世界初となります。

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a device designed to efficiently strengthen the pharyngeal constrictor (the muscles responsible for propelling food and drink into the esophagus).
While numerous training methods aimed at laryngeal elevation have been proposed, this device is the world's first specifically designed to enhance the function of the pharyngeal constrictor.
