【紀錄片上映：《湯德章：我是誰？》】＠Denkikan
Documentary Screening: "Thng Tek-chiong: Who Am I?" @ Denkikan】

日本統治時代の台湾に生まれ、1947年に起きた民衆弾圧「二・二八事件」で多くの市民の命を救った宇土市ゆかりの弁護士、湯徳章（Thng Tek-chiong）の生涯を追ったドキュメンタリー映画が、Denkikan（熊本市中央区）で上映中。
與熊本縣宇土市有深厚淵源的律師——**湯德章（Thng Tek-chiong）**一生的紀錄片，目前正在 Denkikan（熊本市中央區）熱映中。
Now playing at Denkikan (Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City) is a powerful documentary following the life of Thng Tek-chiong, a lawyer with deep roots in Uto City, Kumamoto.

湯徳章の父親は日本人（熊本県宇土市出身）、母は台湾人。台南市は彼の命日の３月１３日を「正義と勇気の日」に制定。
湯德章出生於日治時期的台灣，父親是來自熊本縣宇土市的警察，母親是台灣人。他在1947年「二二八事件」中，挺身而出救下許多市民的性命。台南市政府為了紀念他的奉獻，將他的忌日3月13日訂為「正義與勇氣紀念日」。
Born in Taiwan during the period of Japanese rule to a Japanese father (from Uto) and a Taiwanese mother, Thng Tek-chiong saved countless lives during the 228 Incident in 1947. In recognition of his bravery, Tainan City designated March 13, the anniversary of his death, as "Justice and Courage Day."

【熊本県伝統工芸館　リニューアルオープン！】
【Kumamoto Traditional Crafts Center Grand Reopening!】

2024年9月より改修のため休館していた熊本県伝統工芸館が3月20日、リニューアルオープン！
工芸品ショップが、以前の3.5倍の広さになり、カフェも新設されました！
After being closed for renovations since September 2024, the Kumamoto Traditional Crafts Center is finally back and better than ever, starting March 20th!

(1) 熊本出身のミニチュア写真家として世界的に活躍する田中達也氏による「ミニチュアくまもと　旅するモン」　ー熊本県の特産品を用いて描かれる熊本の風景
(2) 東 耕平 作品展NEWS PAPER ANIMALS 　ー新聞紙とセロファンテープのみで生まれる躍動感あふれる動物たち

(1) "Miniature Kumamoto: Tabisuru-mon" by Tatsuya Tanaka.
World-renowned miniature photographer Tatsuya Tanaka (from Kumamoto!) recreates stunning local landscapes using Kumamoto’s famous specialty products. A truly unique "miniature" journey through our prefecture!

(2) "NEWS PAPER ANIMALS" by Kohei Higashi
Witness incredibly dynamic animals brought to life using only newspapers and cellophane tape. You won't believe the detail!

【熊本城の新種の桜、名前を決めるのはあなた！】
Help Name the New Cherry Blossom Species at Kumamoto Castle!

熊本城で発見された既存の栽培品種に当てはまらない新しいの桜の名前について、現在人気投票が行われています！
この桜の最大の特徴は、花びらの色が白から紅色へ変化すること。満開時には紅白の花が混じり合う、とても縁起の良い姿が見られます。
Kumamoto City is inviting everyone to vote on a name for a newly discovered cherry blossom species found at Kumamoto Castle! This unique sakura is special because its petals change from white to deep pink, creating a stunning mix of red and white flowers at full bloom.

🌸 5つの名前候補：
二様（によう）：熊本城の代名詞「二様の石垣」にちなんで
八十姫（やそひめ）：加藤清正公の娘の名
援結（えんむすび）：復興支援への感謝を込めて
むぞか：熊本弁で「かわいい、可憐」の意味
二の丸：発見場所である二の丸広場から

Niyou: Named after the castle's famous "Niyou Ishigaki" (two-style stone walls).
Yasohime: After the daughter of Lord Kato Kiyomasa.
Enmusubi: Symbolizing "bonds of support" and gratitude for the castle's restoration.
Muzoka: A local Kumamoto dialect word meaning "cute" or "lovely."
Ninomaru: After the Ninomaru area where the tree was discovered.

Kumamoto City Tram Operation on Sun, Feb. 15, 2026

明日（2月15日・日）熊本城マラソンに伴い、
熊本市電は、区間運休、折り返し運転を行います。(７ am - 4 am )
Tomorrow (Sunday, February 15), due to the Kumamoto Castle Marathon, the Kumamoto City Tram will operate with partial service suspensions and turn-back services on some sections (7:00 am – 4:00 pm).

市電利用を考えている旅行者の皆さんへ、インフォが届きますよう！

Kumamoto Castle Marathon Traffic Restrictions – Sun, Feb. 15, 2026

明日（2月15日・日）熊本城マラソンでは、
大変広い地域において交通規制が行われます。

熊本市役所周辺では７ am - 10 am 自転車や歩行者の立ち入り制限も実施されます。
制限時間と範囲をご確認の上、時間に余裕をもってお出かけください。

Tomorrow (Sunday, February 15), traffic restrictions will be in place across a wide area due to the Kumamoto Castle Marathon.

Around Kumamoto City Hall, restrictions on access for bicycles and pedestrians will also be enforced from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

Please check the restricted areas and times in advance, and allow plenty of extra time when heading out.
