ギータ先生がこの世を去られて、1週間が経ちました。イタリアのガブリエラ先生の投稿をシェアします。
When I wrote the notes of this class, I had no idea that this was Geetaji’s the last class, that she would leave her body three day after. During the celebration talking about Guruji, her father, she said, I did not want to die in front of the eyes of my father. She wanted to honor the memory of her father with this celebration, she had the will do do this, and then she was ready to leave her body. She has gone for a better life. We will miss her tremendously. We will miss her classes, her friendship, her clarity, her compassion. We are lucky we still have Prashantji and Abhijata, they can be our guide now.
Now it is time for all of us to continue to honor the memory of Guruji, and the memory of Geetaji. It is time to learn to stand on our feet, to practice with sensitivity, with intelligence. My wish is that we will share between us, that we go beyond our little limitations of nations, of certificates, of “popularity”. Only if we do this, we will honor their memory. Gabriella Giubilaro

Pranayama
When the mind sinks the body sinks
Invocation This body instrument is important. You can’t neglect it
The problems begin with the body. When breathing are you dropping yourself, are you expanding yourself evenly?
Yoga is meant for the soul. You can’t work directly on the soul, if you could do it, my work would be over. The vital energy is important.
The soul never pulses, the soul never asks come to me, this does not happen. But If we go to the soul the soul will come to you. Having this in mind you understand. The body has to be under control, understand how the energy has to be distributed. What you search is in the prakṛti, it is mental, intellectual, physical…then you reach the soul. Keep the palm s in prone position to relax the inner upper arms, (in supine you open but it difficult to relax)
First diaphragm and lumber breathing.
Inhale do not touch the throat. When you inhale if you lift the side ribs up, the touch of the throat is less. Do not allow the brain to move with the breath. Brain quite, clear the space between the throat and the abdomen.
The wideness and the vastness has to be felt. the floating ribs on the back in and the bottom of the should blades in, and maintain it in the exhalation. Indicate clearly that area of the diaphragm.
Diaphragm cannot be shown, but the movement can be shown.
Now we go to the middle ribs. Semicircle action from the back ribs from back and up, do pushing but opening. This is calana kriya, means working, moving, walking.
Why the doctors tell us walk ? to move.
Do not talk to yourself in pranayama, the sternum will drop. So you have to be quite. If your head goes somewhere else, your bottom sternum will go down.
For every step of the 8 angas , ecah of them have their own enemies.
YSP II.33 vitarka-bādhane pratipakṣa-bhāvanam

Yama and niyama, pratipaksa, think about the opposite. Think about this. Think about the ahimsa. In every action you have to think about this. Do not disturb the sthira sukha asana, pratipaksa bhavanam, see where is the rigididy, see the meantal state: the thoughts will come, think the opposite.
Now the pranayama, do the semicircle, this is a variation of ujjayi, intelligize and energize your body.
The skin on the front lower chest should not drop in the exhalation. So do not take the skin in when you exhale. Dissipation of prana will come if you drop.
More I talk more I exhale, Even if you talk silently to yourself, you lose energy.
It should be only in paksa.
End of pranayama
Asana class
Supta Virasana Not to be happy, but satisfaction should be there. If you have a desire of the cup and coffee and you get it , that is satisfaction. And this is okay at the beginning, then you have to go for contentment, that is fulfillment, that is santosha, positive mind comes with contentment, santoṣa. That is antoṣa.
Uttanasana, hold the ankle and concave back.
Prasārita Padottanāsana, concave back, chin up, then head down.
Śirṣāsana and variations.
Tadasana, head back, not concave back
Now arch back from Tadasana. Feet separate, first hands on the buttocks, legs straight. Then when you can’t arch anymore in the chest then start to bend the legs. you are stingy in your movements.
Uṣṭrāsana buttocks forward. First put the hands on the top buttocks going in the direction of the middle buttocks, then move the hands lower. At the rim of the buttocks top of the thighs
Again arch back from Taḍāsana. first hands on the buttocks, legs straight. Then when you can’t arch anymore in the chest then start to bend the legs. The chest can open only if you can put the dorsal in.
But you people take the dorsal in, but you don’t open the chest, you don’t open the ribs. So now dorsal in and open the ribcage.

Dhanurāsana
