今後も、より一層ご負担の少ない検査を心がけ、病気の早期発見、正確な内視鏡診断、安全な内視鏡治療に努めてまいります。
We are introducing advanced technologies, including ultrathin and magnifying endoscopy, AI-assisted systems, therapeutic endoscopy, balloon enteroscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
We are committed to minimally invasive care, early detection, accurate diagnosis, and safe endoscopic treatment.

本年度より北里研究所病院に赴任された櫻井陽奈子先生のレミマゾラムの鎮静の論文がJGH open誌にacceptされました。

Prof. Kato and Mr. Sasaki attended the Sydney International Endoscopy Symposium (SIES) 2026 held in Sydney, March 19–20 🇦🇺

SIES is the largest live endoscopy demonstration symposium in Oceania with a long-standing history.

Prof. Kato performed 3 live demonstrations and delivered 2 lectures, successfully resecting challenging cases including a large lesion spreading across the gastric fornix and a difficult colorectal lesion with severe muscular retraction.

They also had the privilege of working with Prof. Michael Bourke, a world-renowned endoscopist.

The exchange with international colleagues was highly inspiring and provided many valuable insights.

Sydney was also a beautiful and memorable city ✨

3月19〜20日にシドニーで開催されたSydney International Endoscopy Symposium（SIES）2026に、加藤教授、佐々木さんが参加されました🇦🇺

SIESはオセアニア地区最大規模のライブデモンストレーションを有する、歴史ある内視鏡シンポジウムです。

今回は、胃穹窿部に広がる巨大病変や、高度の筋層牽引を伴う大腸病変などの難易度の高い3病変に対しライブデモンストレーションで無事に切除され、2つのレクチャーを担当されました。

また、世界的な内視鏡医であるProf. Michael Bourkeともご一緒でき、大変貴重な経験となりました。

海外の先生方との交流もあり、とても刺激的で学びの多い機会となりました。今後の診療・研究につながる貴重な経験となりました。

沖縄で開催された第98回日本胃癌学会総会に参加してきました。
今回の学会では、8演題を発表し、優秀演題賞を1題受賞、ESD研究会ではU40チャレンジカップ準優勝、さらにThe Churaumi Award 第3位をいただくことができました。
大学院生の先生も、堂々と発表され、質疑応答までしっかり対応してくれて、とても頼もしく感じました。
多くの学びと刺激を得ることができ、週明けからの診療や研究にも活かして参りたいと思います。
また、学会期間中に病棟や緊急対応を支えてくれたチームの皆さんにも心から御礼申し上げます。
We attended the 98th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Gastric Cancer Association in Okinawa.
We presented eight abstracts and received one Excellent Presentation Award.
We were also honored to receive 2nd place in the U40 Challenge Cup and 3rd place in the Churaumi Award at the ESD workshop.
We are grateful to our team members who supported the ward and emergency care during the meeting.

熊本で開催されたGI Week 2026に参加し、4演題の発表を行いました。

大学院生の先生も堂々と発表・質疑応答をこなされ、現地開催ならではの活発なdiscussionを重ねることができました。直接顔を合わせて議論できる貴重な機会に、改めて学会の意義を実感いたしました。

明日からの診療・研究にしっかりと活かしてまいります。

We attended GI Week 2026 in Kumamoto and presented four abstracts.

Our graduate student delivered an good presentation and handled the Q&A with confidence. We had many fruitful discussions, highlighting the true value of an in-person meeting.

We will apply what we learned to our clinical practice and research starting tomorrow.
