This might look like a mess to you, but today this was my gym.
As I prepare for this upcoming birth I want to share what I'm doing to have the best experience. Today's 30 minute birth prep came in the shape of a workout! There are lots of great online resources for prenatal workouts, talk with your care provider to make sure you do what's right for your individual situation. Benefits to working out come in all shapes and sizes from keeping you healthy, helping babies development and preparing you for labor and birth. This is so cool! What an easy way to help your little one get a good start. With a doula you write a birth plan and learn about options that you might not have been aware of. Waiting for the cord to stop pulsing is one the those options!

This is such a great visual explaining effacement and dilation. Though thankfully babies don't usually pop out like that at the end or we would need QB's in the delivery room instead of doctors or midwives 😂🏈

This is a question that comes up a lot, what is a doula?
We are here to provide emotional, physical and informational support through pregnancy, labor, birth and the early post partum period. Nurses and doctors are great but usually they are too busy to stay with a laboring mom the whole time. A doula can come to your house to help you labor in the comfort of your home and stay with you the whole time you're laboring in the hospital.

As a new mom with the interwebs at your fingertips it can be overwhelming with contradicting opinions. A doula can help you wade through these options and help you make the right choice for your family! I am currently having a holiday special so if you are in your third trimester and on the fence about a doula I'd love to talk!
