Today we had the privilege of worshipping and tapping blessings at Trinity ACK Church, Kianjokoma. The service was beautifully themed around gratitude and thanksgiving—a reminder that in every season of life, whether in times of joy or difficulty, in health or in sickness, we are called to cultivate thankful hearts. Later we went to Victory Revival Church.

Pastor Ireri of VRC Kianjokoma shared a powerful message on “The Addition of Favor in a Life Set by God.” He reminded us that there is a God in heaven who can reset a life, a God who adds favor where none seemed possible. What may look impossible to man becomes possible when God intervenes. When God adds His favor, doors open, paths are cleared, and what once felt unreachable suddenly becomes reality.

Indeed, God’s favor can change the entire direction of a life. 🙏🏽 A grateful heart attracts divine favor.

Later in the day we condoled with the family of mwalimu Mary Goretti (Mrs. Ngarì) at Nembure, Gaturi South. Mrs. Ngarì was a respected teacher who nurtured many students including Nembure CCM Pri. School.

We enlightened the locals on the roles of leaders in the senate and the importance of electing forthright leaders in various positions.

We were joined by the area MCA, Hon. Kamwigunyì.

After church we acknowledged greetings from the loving and wonderful residence of the great Manyatta Constituency, at Manyatta, Mútúndúrí and Kivwe towns. The people urged us to work diligently to deliver them from the shame the Embu senate is subjecting them unto. We promised to do it through sweat and blood. Embu must rise in dignity and progress.

I feel very blessed. This morning, we joined Full Gospel church, Manyatta for a youth led Sunday service. We are really humbled by the love our people are showing us all the youth in the community by recognizing their leadership capabilities even in religious spaces.

We pray that God continues giving us wisdom, favor, and grace in this noble journey.

If young people are not included in economic growth, they will reject the system entirely. Today we joined university and college students from Mbeere, for their retreat at Karura Forest, Nairobi, where we discussed several issues about leadership and why the youth must be at the center of economic growth.

One thing I love about Embu County students is their level of organisation. They have very organized student forums and groups.

Someone asked me today, tukikuchagua, how will you make our health sector better? Embu County is a great county, but our health sector is highly mismanaged. It has become a big embarrassment, yet the solution starts with something very basic: making sure medicine is actually available in our public hospitals. How do we do this?

1. Deal with conflict of interest in public health.

Push for regulation so that doctors employed by the Government of Kenya or county governments do not own or operate private hospitals and clinics while still serving in public facilities. Why? Because patients are being quietly redirected to private clinics for services and medicine they should receive in public hospitals. Conflict of interest is a silent killer of public healthcare. Government medicine is ending up in private chemists while the local dispensary lacks even basic drugs.

2. Automation and digital enforcement.

Introduce a digital scanning and identification system that regulators can use to randomly check medicine in pharmacies and private clinics. This will help curb the illegal sale of government-supplied drugs that are meant for public hospitals and dispensaries.
Before we even talk about increasing budget allocations, we must first ensure that the medicine already purchased actually reaches the mwananchi. Availability first, allocation later. That is how we begin the journey of fixing our health sector.
